Last year it was: Saturday 11 March Middlesbrough v Huddersfield Town or Manchester City (12.15pm) – BT Sport 2 Arsenal v Lincoln City (5.30pm) – BT Sport 2 Sunday 12 March Tottenham Hotspur v Millwall (2pm) – BBC One Monday 13 March Chelsea v Manchester United (7.45pm) – BBC One
Not for me... or most fans. We'll struggle for 2k up there on a Monday night on TV. I'm hoping for Saturday 5:30... already looking at hotels
Should say that doesn't mean to say it will be the same this year just throwing it out there. Hopefully the Monday night will be Leicester Chelsea as that's the two closest teams.
Our first experience of VAR. Our first experience of a televised FA Cup tie for what feels like quite a few years (the Sunderland defeat under Poch possibly?). Our first experience of no replays (if drawing at 90 mins). Our first experience of a fourth sub (if drawing at 90 mins).
As I say, it'll clash with the Saturday evening game (Liverpool v Watford). Which itself is a BT game. I can't see why BT would want to move their own PL game, and no doubt there's something in the PL TV deal that would prevent the BBC from being able to show a non-PL match at the same time as a PL match.
I can’t do the weekend but I can do the Monday night, so bollox to you lot.... I’m being a selfish bastard!!
It's also worth noting, that assuming it's City, it will have to be a different day to United/Brighton.
And Utd (like Chelsea) play in Europe immediately before QF weekend. So if there is a Friday night game, it most likely won't involve them.
Yeah I looked at that, City are the week before and there's nothing the midweek after is there? My guess is: Saturday 12:45 Man City v Saints Sunday 14:00 Swans/Sheffield Wednesday v Spurs Sunday 16:00 Man United v Brighton Monday 20:00 Leicester v Chelsea Whats the evening PL game on the Saturday?
****, I forgot there are no replays for quarter finals any more. That actually would suit us better if we're playing City. They would almost certainly be too good for us over 2 matches. But with the extra sub as well, if we were drawing after 90 mins, anything could happen.
Did you know that three of the four teams in the semi final of the Hampshire Women's Cup are... from Southampton.
