i would keep nunez chomping at the bit on the bench for just a little while longer, no need to change the team from west ham game and i also think donny have a 'nice' little stadium, not much character or atmosphere but the facilities are good enough
Afternoon all. Yes I would start with Nunez & Keogh. It then allows SG to play both Max & Snoddy/Sam. The way Nunez is playing, he has to start, especially against Ipswich. Based on current form, that's a game we should win & win well. There should be much harder fixtures in due course. So why not try it out? Becchio's due back in the near future. So SG will need to look at options to work out where Becchio will best fit in, & who best to partner him with.
Pags, he never had to be converted, he just explored other avenues for a tiny amount of time whilst still following the whites. He became biclub-curious thats all. A mid starting school life crisis.
I think based on what we are now seeing, we have a 20 a season striker in mccormack. He's doing brilliantly and really putting them away now
Leeds 18 to be fair all opposition fans are like that when it comes to Leeds. I manage get tickets for our London away games in the home seats & get to hear their bile close up & its nor pleasanr. Palace away last season has to rank amongst the most depressing of days for me,sitting there listening to their constant renditions of 'Glad All Over'!. I wasn't feeling ****ing glad all over! Palace was good natured though compared to some of the crap I've heard from the likes of Colchester & Orient of all people. The hatred they have for Leeds United-its great!
Wasn't able to make many away games due to circumstances last season(nagging other half who I've since dumped) so it was a case of applying for away membership for that one game or just getting a home ticket.
Ah, I see. Sometimes if there are some seats left in the away end and you're in with the home lot, you can let one of the stewards around you know and they'll escort you into the Leeds section. Happened at Coventry away this season I think, among others. They'd rather clear some of the segregation space and move the Leeds fans together than have potential flash-points if we score.
Or if its a clever ****er they will just point you out to home fans and leave you to fend for yourself
Quite possibly but my point is Nunez might get us 15 from midfield and McCormack 15 as a striker. I would prefer this than dropping McCormack and relying on Nunez to make 30 from the front.
I think it was unfair that Nunez didn't start the season as first choice, especially after his good pre season and that Snodgrass had an injury and was obviously not full fit. Still after the performance against West Ham, it'd be hard to drop anyone. McCormack's got 5 in his last 7 for us in total, and will be confident. He has the ability to hit 15-20 goals. I doubt Keogh will score many - 1 goal every 4 games is his career stat - so he's probably a 10 a season player at best. Becchio is a similar player to him, apart from he has goals to his game and is more physical, so should get his place in the team back. Keep Nunez as an impact player atm. He's not as good off the wings like Gradel or Snoddy and the strikers have done nothing to warrant being dropped. He'll get his chance with injuries/tiredness over the season.
