Gravy? it's a fecking stew <laugh> Sautéing the onions in a little oil, honey with smoked paprika and then brown off the meat then add a pork stock cube and tomato paste add the carrots, beans and peas and red and green chilli peppers and a splash of malt vinegar.

Just returned home from a little family run Italian restaurant. Not a huge menu, good old family type cooking.
Had lamb chops which were bloody lovely.

I had beef stew with french bread in a Casino supermarche car park somewhere near Albertville.

It tasted nice, if a little rushed and lacking in accompanying beer.

Going to put the recipe up for this as it was really good.

Put a layer of sliced potatoes in the bottom of the dish and a sliced onion.
Mash up garlic with olive oil and lemon Juice and rub over a boneless lamb shoulder joint.

Cook on 200 uncovered for 20 mins then add a small glass of red wine and cover. Turn down to 150 for 3 hours.

Take out rest for 30 mins then shred the lamb
Add chopped sweet peppers, feta and mint.

I served it in the dish.
