I think that would be a tad harsh on Adkins. As a better alternative, why not do the same to Enob? A far more deserving case, and you would then have near total support from all. In fact, you'd probably never have to buy yourself a pint in these parts ever again.
I want to see him tearing his hair out and eating it. Then I can get a box of Kleenex in, so I can masturbate myself into a frenzy over the Look North episode that covers Adkins having a giant congealed ball of it removed from his stomach. "Hull City manager Nigel Adkins there, narrowly avoiding an exploding intestine. Now over to that dwarf from Wetwang who's having another stab at the weather"
Shouldn't ne too downhearted - there's a massive gulf in class and 4 0 could have been much worse - we played with a second string and a few of our players are nowhere near Prem quality - Stewart by far the biggest disappointment - what a waste of a shirt- not just one poor game but most - at fault for two of the goals, Meyler at fault for the other two but not really a right back - those calling Marshall should be ashamed - he was ok - hopefully back to full strength for Boro and back to what's important
I feared that this could be a totally demoralising defeat after the first half undoing last weeks shot in the arm... BUT... I think we can come away from there and know that if they repeat the second half with the changes in personnel we'll be ok....
It's hard to pick any positives out of that game, but Wilson seemed to be warming to it until he got injured, Toral looked to me like he should have started, and Dicko worked hard and might be ok if he could play as a striker and get some service from the midfield. MacDonald looked ok too. Chelsea really were a lot lot better than us though.
No we want to hear him say it's ****ing ****e, he hasn't a clue what he's doing and call himself a ****. You know, a bit of honesty. Not too much to ask is it?
I guess not surprised to wake up to the news we were stuffed 4-0, though to be 4-0 down at half time really is shocking. Stewart sounds as if he has had a mare, his confidence is just shot at the moment. There is a player in there, but he certainly is ****e at the moment, for the time being shouldn't be any where near the first team. Not good news about Bowen and Wilson, let's hope their 2 injuries are not serious. Sounds as if MacDonald is settling in and is a decent centre half, and hopefully will partner Mazuch when he is back from injury. Boro Tuesday is a big game, as they all are now, but Nigel please stopping using the term every game is cup final now, as they are not.
Nigel Adkins admitted his Tigers' side were the architects of their own downfall in Friday night's Emirates FA Cup defeat to Chelsea. A disappointing first 45 minutes proved costly as the reigning Premier League champions showed their class right from the off. A brace from Willian was added to with further goals from Pedro and Olivier Giroud to give Chelsea a four-goal lead at the break. Although David Meyler saw his second-half spot-kick saved Willy Caballero to deny Adkins' side a consolation effort, the Tigers emerged from the game with pride intact after producing an improved display after the break. Reflecting on the Fifth Round tie, Adkins said: "We came with a game plan and within a couple of minutes it’s out of the window. "We gifted them the opportunities to score goals in the first half and you saw how good their players are when you’re up close and personal. We allowed them too much ball in the first half. “I was calm at half-time. I told the players this wasn’t the situation we wanted to be in but we tweaked one or two things and improved. Yes, they took their foot off the gas, but we were much better in the second half and my players deserve credit for that. "They were staring down the barrel at 4-0 - and it could have gone the other way. But what they did in the second half was what we were hoping to do in the first half. "The second half was a different story, although it was game over. We kept the ball and built things. We should have scored some goals. "But the disappointment is the first half. We stood off them too much and didn’t get close enough to them. We let some talented players demonstrate how good they are."
