Every time these matches have come around since the play off season I have found myself caring less and less.. Or to put it a better way, find it more and more difficult to get properly excited/up for it.. Or just that it's easier to find something else to do or focus on than have thoughts of football take up a whole weekend. Come Sunday I'll be sat in my Town shirt, watching us from afar but haven't had the palpable excitement build through the week like days of old, which is a shame and probably indicates where priorities lie in my life right now as I'll be decorating before and after and I'm sure will shrug off the inevitable insipid performance and go about my tedious day as if nothing really happened.
Have to say this is the first derby since god knows how long I really couldn't give a toss about right now. That'll change kick off Sunday COYB.
I won't be getting up early like I normally do, I'm in the middle of a 10 day run of work but can listen to most of the second half on my drive into work.
You know you get these gut feelings sometimes, when you genuinely can't see anything other than a scoreline, well, 1 nil to us is screaming out to me
Carter-Vickers looks like he's going to be a hell of a player but considering our position why not give one of our own game time? That's just typical Mick. Carter-Vickers when I've seen him has played with an air of experience way beyond his age and for me is going to have a very good future ahead of him.
To be fair I think it's the lack of hope that kills me when watching Ipswich at the moment, there's just no feeling of optimism or excitement even if we do win
So he's going with 5 defenders and 3 defensive midfielders. He may as well just stick 8 players across the goal line. What with Norwich not scoring a lot, this will be one of the most tedious games in football history. But I stick to us winning 1 nil with a late goal (And possibly our only shot on target)
Jesus wept, no Celina. We need to get at their effing fullbacks! 0-0 bet looking a bit better for me now, assuming we don't concede ...
Watching this at the Gladstone Arms in Stowmarket and John Wark is here! As for the half, we actually look fairly decent and have had the better of the chances. Garner is flinging himself around but we aren't doing much with the free kicks. Get the sense that if we keep this up, we can edge a 1-0. Norwich have looked really poor.
