You are quite correct they should have stopped Her, but it doesn't surprise Me that they didn't. I've lived in Hong Kong for a year, Thailand for 22 years and travelled all over Asia. They really do not have the same understanding that We have in the West of what is considered dangerous and socially unacceptable. That's why I love it and hate it in equal measure.

When asked about it later the lion said "I quite like poachers, but I couldn't eat a whole one".

The US gun lobbyists (and Trump) continue to insist it's mental disease that causes the thousands of gun deaths in the good old usa and has nothing to do with the number of guns readily available. They're 50% right, they voted in Trump. It's sad, it's disgusting and I despair for the decent people living in that ****hole.

It is probably connected with a mental condition, but the fact is that it happens in America (rather than elsewhere) because guns are available and in their psyche. Over here it is knives....and the fact is that it is harder to kill a lot of people at one time with a knife. So is certainly not unrelated to the availability of guns.

We blanket banned handguns in response to the Dunblane school massacre in 1996. How many school mass shootings have we had since? I can't think of any.

It is a problem that is very hard to solve because of the sheer amount of guns available in the States. If they ban guns, law abiding citizens will be the ones who don't have them....whereas the bad guys will ignore the rules and have them anyway. How do you put the lid on it? And how do you change the whole American psyche....the place is full of looney tunes like the gun lobby. They aren't just using rifles in target practice, but buying machine guns. The US should at least start by banning rapid fire guns....who needs one of those?

Not one. If it was due to mental illness as Trump and the gun lobby claim, surely people who wanted to wipe out large numbers of schoolchildren would find other ways of doing it, such as (God forbid) bombs or poison. The fact that no one does that suggests that owning a gun is itself a sympton of mental illness, as the only reason for having one is to do harm to someone or something.

So what was it, a AR15. Is that an assault rifle, automatic, quick firing student killer?
Why the hell are these legal, to anyone, let alone 19yo mentally unstable little ****s. I understand the 'right to.....', but come on, do they have to fire 100 bullets a second. That's the problem for me on the amendment.

really? I think that was designed to fight off 200 heavily musketted Brits arriving in a big wooden ship landing somewhere on the East Coast.

That's the change that is needed. A one firing reload would make a lot of difference. As sad as that sentence sounds.

Indeed. But you are forgetting their right to murder people. So, lets start with, they are allowed, but the gun does not come from that game COD.

On one of my recent trips to the US I went ot the gun range. What shocked me was how simple it was for me to get a Georgia State hunting permit and be able to shoot guns at a range. I litterally walked in with my ID of passport, filled in a form, paid $20 I think and was off. My son in law took me (who is US) and the first gun I ever held and fired was a AK47. Scared the **** out of me. I was litteraly shaking after using it. I can see no reason why I would ever need to fire a fully automatic machine gun again.

On my last trip though we went for a walk in what can only be described as a forest behind my daughter's house (actually, the first 6 acres are part of her house, but that is a different story :) ) and we did take a hand gun with us. This was as we could hear wolves every night and the last thing you want is to be attacked by a pack of wolves. For this reason I can see why you could need a gun, but it is quite a rare occasion.

Also had to watch out that we didnt get bitten by the Union of the Snakes :)

Lol actually joking apart, we also took a 12 inch machette in case of snakes! I've got a great video of me doing a scene from the Walking Dead with a gun in one hand and a machette in the other! :)

This is no ordinary world we are talking about is it? Do they have the same problem in Rio? I believe it’s notorious when there’s a new moon on Monday!
