Well.. All I can say is i didn't see a single player i thought showed talent. none of them looked very good.

I agree they gave up after second goal.

Their plan was to sit deep and narrow and counter us (at home) which suggests to me they think they are worse than us and were pulling a bus parking having seen swansea etc do it.

IMO they did give up big time.

Was it out class or the breaks went our way with an absolute flog form their keeper and then milner doing well closing down and slaah picked up peices. After that time it was just a nothing dull half paced game.

I think we never got out of 3rd gear TBH. Our plan was no risk, keep it safe, play square. Our full backs clearly showed this with square passing. We took few risks to get forward imo and when we did we played safe. I think we would have been happy with 0-0 before game but were looking for breakaway goals.... the 5-0 is a huge bonus to us.

I think if we had played our highest tempo we would have got 4-1 result of something

It just all worked out for us.

 

things went spurs way in that game too.

Now spurs played an impressive tempo and juve were backs to wall...

but it shoudl have bee 1-3 at HT... spurs made some bad errors. Fair play to them for out working and just running juve off the park though.

I actually thought they were good until we got our 1st.

Their winger was getting at and past TAA a couple times, a number of dangerous corners and long throws into the box. They nearly scored, but for a good tackle by Lovren.

Then we took the lead and they looked dejected.

we didn't even extend ourselves imo.

i was expecting us to have tobe run out rags by end but it was really easy.

Just hope we play a decent team 2nd leg to not give them any confidence of getting a result and maybe make changes 60 mins mark and give ings Solanke a run out etc.

Yes I will give you Barca as it's not over until it is however unlikely it maybe.

We don't know how ****e or bent ref maybe for next leg.

All it takes is red card first 5 mins and we might be ****ed.

 

So the idea of one team playing well enough to overwhelm another decent team and make them look poor on the night doesn't appeal then?

Here is the thing Liverpool held the biggest away win in Europe (last 16) till City broke it on Tuesday only for Liverpool to reclaim it yesterday. People acting like teams in the last 16 lose 5 nil at home. it had never happened before until we did it.

I think we were brilliant and Porto couldn't deal with us. The thing is when we are on song, it looks so easy that one can be fooled to think the oppo is weak. But there is a system of movement and pressing that is very devastating and getting it right is the hard part otherwise all teams would be doing likewise. City suffered against as well as many other clubs in Europe and at home.

So yeah Porto were not **** we were just brilliant!!!
