On here, I’m trying to find threads when Sir Alex Ferguson retired and David Moyes was appointed as manager.
Well look for Merlot-Chardonnay-Rose-Brut-White Burgundy-Moaning instead, you'll find red nose and Moyesy pissed up somewhere on that thread. Glad I could help.
Mostly laughter I'd imagine when Moyes was announced. The Chelsea, City and Arsenal fans will have been relieved at Fergie retiring, the Liverpool fans will have been organising parties in the streets.
I can't really remember the overall reaction to Moyes appointment (not specifically on here, just in general). But I always said in the years leading up to Fergie retiring that whoever took the job would be ****ed as they would be compared to Fergie by the dumbass majority who tend to follow football. I remember thinking it wouldn't be a big name as they had too much to lose and would be an upcoming manager who couldn't say no, but can't remember what I felt about Moyes specifically. My mate who supports Everton was gutted though, he also loved Martinez so he is an idiot.
