Ignoring the Torquay game, this is how I see the season so far.

Leeds: Outplayed them and could have scored more. 8/10
Barnsley: Outplayed them but scoring only 1 goal could have cost us. 7/10
Ipswich: First half back to classy selves, relaxed and let them back in before
    two Lallana specials. 9/10
Millwall: Game we toughed out in second half. Took a lot out of the players and
fans alike. 7/10 for defending it out.

What I take from the games so far is that we will beat a lot of teams and score a lot of goals, but it could be the Millwall type results that decide our eventual finish.

Definately, but we've got to give ourselves room to improve or we'll be giving 12/10 soon!

I think we draw a blue line under it and take each game of football at a time.

I agree 8/10. In Leeds and Ipswich we've played and beaten two teams really well that were highly rated pre-season, that shows our overall capability already. The gritty games like Millwall will be the test all season, but I thought we did especially well to tough that one out. Of course it also depends on injuries, but you'd have to say on the results so far, we're in with a chance of at least the play offs.

I think momentum has got us through the tough games like Millwall and Barnsley where we've been holding on. But the next couple of games will really tell how well we'll do this season and it will show how we perform against the Promotion candidates like Leicester, Nottingham Forest and Birmingham. So the next couple of games are important if we want to finish in the play-offs or above because we have gained points on clubs that will be around us at the end of the season. <ok>

10/10 how can you do better than winning all four games? obviously we can improve on certain aspects of certain games but while we are winning I will give us top marks.

All pulling in the same direction, I think its important that we get carried away because its not about the 11 its about the group the 16 as I keep saying.

The first half of that Ipswich game was the best I have ever seen Saints play since first seeing them in 2002. Overall rating for the start of the season: 9/10 :D

When the team are really clicking they are all a joy to watch. Lallana is a fantastic icing on the cake.
