Seems I'm doomed lately when I very occasionally rent a film on Sky, Dunkirk was my last one and it was dull as ****. So last night I watched the highly rated Blade Runner 2049. Looks pretty, very serious, well acted but at the end of the day a little dull. 7.2/10 If you're a sci fi fan then there is a lot of good here but the pace and story is sometimes compromised by the overall "this has to be right" attitude from the people making the film, it's like they were so worried about making a bad Blade Runner sequel that they ended up doing so with too much attention to detail.
S1 ep7. I'm persisting through it, it's stylish but i'm not sure how much i'm enjoying it. It's pretty weird and the scenes seem pretty gratuitous. Dexter was much easier to get behind even with the gore in that
It does improve as it goes on, the story gets better and better and it covers a lot of the Red Dragon stuff which is done very well. Weird and stylish is part of it though along with a great performance from the guy playing Hannibal.
yeah le chiffre is a great actor. Not actually seen silence of the lambs of red dragon so getting all this fresh
The Red Dragon film with Anthony Hopkins is not a patch on Manhunter, also based on the Red Dragon novel, with Brian Cox playing Lecter. His version is less over the top than Hopkins and all the scarier for it. Don't know if Manhunter is on netflix, but if it is it is well worth the watch.
The Will Graham bloke is good as well. They make bloom out to be too dense, though, and Jack Crawford's not much brighter
Keep going brother even if by dawn it means we'll all be viewing in VAHALLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!
Watched Fury again yesterday evening think someone else did recently Great film, the story is awesome, the cinematography and direction have some slight mis-steps but the story makes it
