    Yes I read that.
My view this season is the survival points requirement will be lower than average in part due to this ever growing gap between the top 6 and the rest of the league.
So maybe 36 points might do it but by heck when you dont win games that looks very tough going

... and looking at our fixture list I can see that we will have a clear picture as to our survival prospects by the end March .
so 6 weeks from now or 42 days so not long !

You have Bournemouth picking up only 2 points from eleven games?

Yep, it certainly looks like Lemina is effin' awful! And Hoedt shows no potential (what must Holland be thinking of?) at all; then Carrillo, who he?

As has been pointed out to you before, it is not so much who we have brought in, it is the failure to address obvious weaknesses in the squad. End of last season everyone was bemoaning our lack of goals and creativity. We signed a central midfielder and a centre back as our 2 signings, not adding a single attacking player. Shock horror this year we still struggle to score.

Sorry to quote selective memory yet again (!) but, during the last close season, Saints had Austin (scores goals), Gabbiadini (scores goals), Long (scores goals), JRod (scores goals) backed up by a handful of contributions from the rest of the squad (Redmond, Davis, Yoshida etc). All in a team that STILL creates more chances than all but the top 5 or 6 teams.
So I would ask (& it's a real question) who should they have bought & for how much.

    Umm...

As for the final question well that's not down to us is it? We don't have access to the amazing black box which apparently puts us ahead of most other clubs...

It seems like everyone, apart from Saints fans are in denial! That's really concerning to me.

Well that's the lowest I've seen anything put us. Don't bookies still have us as 7th?

Got a mate who's a season ticket holder, and he tells me he has been superb. They desperately needed a leader, and they got one with John. He's helped with the youngsters especially the one without shin pads, and has given the club a real lift. Interesting to see if he wants another year if they go up? I think he will.

I agree though, I wouldn't want John Terry anywhere near Saints.

Never been a fan of he, but you must realise we are badly in need of leaders.

So it would seem that 'taking the easy route' (it's them not me/us!) warrants the attack on the club then, does it?
Not trying to be cynical here but........ there was a 'clamour' (a while back)for Saints to sign Benteke; done well for Palace ain't he. Similarly, that 'Liverpuddle crock'..... should have been part of the VvD deal they protested; certainly made no impression for WBA, before going off to their sick-bay. And that's my point here, black box or no black box, criticising recruitment but the not offering a tangible, credible alternative is a bit like kicking a man when he's down; rather than offering him some (much needed) support

Yeah we're definitely lacking a leader but I wouldn't want that leader to be Terry. Plus I don't think he'll cope in the Prem anymore, championship is probably his level now.
