I'm sure I read somewhere that their name influenced Led Zeppelin's name choice being something very heavy and something very light. Zeppelin were going to be called 'Lead Zeppelin' but the record company said the British spelling of 'Lead' would confuse Americans so the 'a' was dropped. That track was Iron Butterfly's masterpiece, it was meant to be 'In the Garden of Eden' but the singer Doug Ingle was so drunk at the recording it came out as 'In a Gadda da Vida'... Here's one of their lesser known songs...
