I ask this question because as I've said many times, he does very little to acknowledge them yet is constantly in the Evening Sentinel urging us to get behind the team.

I was just reading this and his comments if the fans don't like it so be it! pretty **** comments consider how well Stoke are supported and how much money we spend following them. Without the fans they would not have a business to run. I really think TP does not give a flying fig about the Stoke faithful to be honest!

Pulis comments at the end of this - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3772200/Tony-Pulis-Stoke-need-fresh-blood.html

Fully agree with what you say mate.. see my other comments on this on another thread. It does feel like a smack in the kisser when you read if true, what TP does actually say to reporters.. He really does my head in.
I will of course support the guy until the END of this month. After that Waddo....

Sorry, I won't leave him alone ALL SEASON whatever/wherever we finish. I'm SICK to DEATH of his neagitivty NOT ONLY towards no singings of NOTE so far. But more so, US the PAYING SUPPORTERS. Good on all of you for keeping the faith. <applause> It gets harder and harder to do so but I will.

I'm like you Potts mate a Stokie through and through and purchased my first ever stoke top in 1969! We've been through the mill as Stoke City supporters and followed our team through thick and thin. Pulis has to be one of the most frustrating managers ever. He grinds out the results which brings him the plaudits but at the same time does your head in because of his negative approach and fear of doing anything differently. I'm really fearing an upset tomorrow and hope I'm wrong as i would like to see us advance in Europe despite the threadbare squad. We don't need big names and top signings at Stoke just players that will put in a shift and have more youth and creativity than those we have now. I wish TP would indeed take a look at the lower leagues and bring in some new, fresh and exciting young talent!

Sorry mate, I just re read that article and found the fans comment at the bottom. He say's 40 grand a week tops for a player is more than his anual wage mine too way above it or at least it was when I was before I retired recently. He sound like a real Stokie who, like us doesn't want us to be left behind. Sadly, reading T.P.s views does he really CARE about OUR feelings. I think it's a resounding big fat NO

    Comments crossed over Waddo <ok>
Thursday night I will be there.. here's hoping we've done enough last week and that those who are playing are up for it. I KNOW how much it means to you mate re getting past F.C. Thun would be fantastic, even with our squad so thin we can do it. <ok> We HAVE to simples...

TP could be a trend setter in the prem tansfer market and show the big clubs up by bringing in these yet to be discovered young lads from lower leagues but he never seems to give them a chance. Whatever happened to Louis Moult is he injured? I really liked that lad and he would be ideal to have on the bench right now. Let's be honest as regards strikers, if ever Walters got injured we would be totally buggered at the moment. Ric is probably nearly done, Mama is defo done, Jones is a moody player and Walters seems to play best coming from midfield.
Surely there must be a decent striker in the lower leagues that would be better than having no striker at all. It just does not make any sense?

I think Pulis is doing a great job.
Sensible manager which is gradually building the team.
    The results speak for themselves.

Maybe you "senior members" should try to be a bit more positve and get behind the team and manager. Its a fact that our club is doing better now than it has since the early 70's
There seems to be too much moaning and complaining. Maybe its because the average age of members seems to be about 90 :emoticon-0100-smile

Is 90 the average age of posters, or the average age of our midfield resource - it certainly moves at speeds I would associate with a 90 year old.
Our start is OK - nothing better , nothing worse.

We drew with a top 3 side at home - surely we should not regard that as a miracle result?

We drew with a side who have just managed two successive promotions - should that be beyond us?

Split were a force by virtue of their history, not their current ability and Thun on the basis of the away leg are average.

That's not having a go, I think it is a realistic assessment.

We are in real danger of having to spend the next 3 months watching a team, which given any sort of injury or suspension, has no forward cover, no replacements for our wingers and amidfield thatno one else in the premiership would even look at.

In the words of TP we have "Irons in the fire" - but nothing has happened.

Where is the Plan "B" - what about getting talent with pace and hunger from the Championship, because at the end of the day that is the true level of Rory (now he's 35), Deano, Whelan,Pugh, Tonge et al?

Whittingham, Lallana, Maynard would all be at least a little better than what we currently have (remeber last year we were quite happy to have Ledley, but did'nt even satisfy his wage demands), and would be affordable.

Given the time it takes Messrs Scholes and Pulis to conduct / complete transfer negotiations, I would have hated to have been on the Titanic with them - we would never have got off!

I just asked a question Steve, that's not attacking anybody.

Any more of it's ageist drivel, then he can stand by and get hammered.

Anyway it still looks like he is our old chum from Mansfield!!

Agreed - Calling you all 90 somethings was not ideal but he was only responding to your quip questioning his identity after what was a reasonable first post from him

Without new blood this site will slowly die.

I've seen it numerous times before - If he's new and he don't agree with the axis of pulis is evil brigade he gets bashed from the word go. I seem to remember you lambasted the last one becuase of his love for comics.....

How can saying I like Pulis mean he is a WUM?

Lets welcome new members, irrelevant of their views, because without them we'll be like the baggies board.

Well fair enough Steve, will wait and see, BUT regarding that cartoon character character, he kicked off by being quite offensive and accusing everybody who disliked the direction in which Pulis was taking this football club - as living in fantasy land, a bit rich don't you think.:emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer:

Er excuse me I didn't attack anyone, we not yet anyhow!
I welcome ALL new members but I'm NOT 90 not even close but you think we're complaining fine. That's what this board is all about.
Pulis HAS indeed done a brilliant job, can I ask the newbie.

Do you think he can take us any further than he has. Just because I am starting to doubt that Mr Pulis can do that. Why is that so bad?

WHY have we NOT signed anyone of note yet aside from the two centre halfs. YOU think the current squad is good enough fine.

Come back in six to eight weeks and tell me you are ok with how things are going. I HOPE I am wrong and will also admit I was. <ok>

Never said you did Potts - though surely this board is about differing opinions and debate, not purely complaining.

My point is he came on here with a personal opinion that most people would find reasonable, if not necessarily agreeing with it.... For that comment he was immediately jumped on and his loyalty was questioned - He reacted with anger as many people would do.

Probably not after the reception he got earlier.

Sorry Steve - you are entirely missing the point, my response which you objected to, was not in response to the postgraduate in pulis philosophy, but to an earlier post.

I would NEVER attack a 'newbie' on his first post and I take grave offence that you would think so.

I would WAIT until his/her 3rd Post at least, as you know from the host of my detractors on here and there are many (can't understand why), nobody is allowed to disagree with me!!

    WHAT A LOAD OF TOSH.

If people want to disagree fine. Make it a proper point NOT:

    Look where we are now
Who would believe that we could sign an England International
Pulis worked wonders on a limited budget
I remember playing xxxxxxxx 10 year ago and look at us now.

    Ad Nauseum

Once and for all, I DO NOT HATE PULIS.

He has taken Stoke as far as he is capable.
The reason for many players not coming here is Pulis, his personality and his tactics.

Pulis, thanks for everything but go BEFORE the January transfer window!

Let's hope that is not too late

I'm sorry if I've upset you Nick but when I see newbies hounded like this it makes me worry for the future of this board.<hug>
