I think Fat Sam will have them up to mid-table by the end of the season. They need organising being hard to beat and he's good at doing that. I'm not expecting great football in the process though. Moyes and Pardew though. Relegation fights on the cards for them two.
There's been a lot of chatter about this for the last few days. Why do the same failing managers keep getting top jobs in football? Fat Sam, fair enough, he will do a job, ie. keep Everton up. But Moyes has been an absolute disaster in his last three jobs and 'Pards' has been pretty much the same. What the **** are these owners on? And Pulis will tip up somewhere soon for another 3 year deal and a nice fat pay packet to suit. I know everyone cant be successful, but Moyes............ **** me!! Everything he touches turns to dog ****.
Think its purely a sign of owners who are not willing to risk the financial rewards that come from just staying in the Premiership. These managers are all ones who have at one time punched above their weight by keeping relatively weak sides in the PL. Thought Everton would show more ambition but maybe their fingers were burnt by Koeman. Just goes to prove that it can go badly wrong even if you invest in players and an apparently progressive manager.
Old saying....buy cheap, pay twice. West Ham ought to have known better than appoint a has been in Moyes. That said, they'd already tried allardyce and pardew, whilst pulis hadn't been sacked at the time. They were left with sour puss Moyes lol.
I see West Brom's owner has just sacked their chairman and CEO. Pardew's points return is 0.62 per game. If that continues for the last 11 games, that'll give them another 6 points to add their 20. There's still two other drop places to avoid though. But thanks Alan.
please log in to view this image The same football gods who were looking after Dubravka have clearly never forgiven the Silver Fox.
They never got relegated did they? If they can achieve that again they'll have done a great job. Saying that he hasn't arrested the alarming slide that began under Pulis. Perhaps Carver is someone he knows has experience of getting out of these scenarios. I'm always hesitant to slaughter Carver too much. The great Sir Bobby rated him after all and thought him good enough to be his assistant.
To be fair they are in charge of one of the worst squads in the league, they've taken on a hell of a challenge. Its akin to what Rafa is faced with here, Carlos Carvahal so on and so forth. I don't know, I'm not willing to say Sir Bobby didn't know what he was doing like the rest of you. Sir Bobby did pretty well before you lot hounded him out.
