There is much more to come from the squad
this season. Alli not yet playing consistently
to his level last season. Toby / Wanyama /
Lamela out for ages. Moura yet to make his mark.

They've conceded one goal since November 22nd, when they drew 0-0 at home to Barcelona.
16 games, 14 wins and two draws.

The way we picked our way through an Italian defence is worth a mention. We created enough chances to have won that with 4 goals. It's no mean feat to do that against a top Italian side on their home ground.

That has to be one of the most impressive away performances from a British side in a long time, especially a side half made up of British players.

  6. Harry Kane has scored more goals in his first nine Champions League appearances (nine) than anyone else. Ronaldinho, Simone Inzaghi, Didier Drogba and Diego Costa all managed eight each.
    (BBC Football Live)

Chalk up yet another record for the Hurra Kane!

But no one knew that at the start of the season when they called it the group of death.
And to say they aren’t the team they used to be because they are having an off season, is OTT comments to discredit us.

Not even "a" top side, mate, that was "the" top Italian side. We should be immensely proud of that fight back.

Don’t know if anybody watched long enough to see the stunt that Eriksen and Lamela pulled at the free kick.

Lamela deliberately made as if he was going to take it, Buffon was fooled as was the wall and moved to their left slightly. Eriksen put the ball the other way and Buffon couldn’t get back in time.

    Clever!...

Quite true, no one knew at the start of the season, their form has been a massive shock.
I never meant to discredit you in any way, just pointing out that that particular bit was true.

I think that they made it look like either of them were going to hit it over the wall on that side, with Eriksen the more likely taker.
Buffon "cheated" a bit and shuffled over, as he didn't trust his wall to block the shot.
Eriksen ignored the wall completely and just hit it into the bottom corner. Oops! <laugh>

Quite surprised that such an experienced keeper fell for it, to be honest.
Maybe he doesn't think that he can trust his reactions as much as he used to be able to any more?

I think it was a deliberate ploy myself. Lamela made a deliberate move towards the ball, which as he’s a left footer made Buffon shuffle to his left.

Too late to get back then.

I wasn’t referring to you personally, Diego, just opposition fans in general. They have to find a way to suit their narrative.

Yeah, we've played against Swansea and struggled to break them down. It's been my biggest worry about drawing Juventus(or a At.Madrid if they'd qualified). It's always a tough ask when you have to break down a side that goes backs to the wall, especially for a side that plays like us and especially against one as good at defending as Juve. Utterly incredible once again from our players to do the job. I don't think it will ever get the credit it deserves. Superb.

Cannot find the words to describe how good Eriksen and Dembele were this evening, so I'll just shut up now.

    BREAKING NEWS

CK is lost for words!! Prices in the City under pressure. EU is concerned. Pochettino is fine with it 'CK will speak when he's ready, we don't want to rush him.'
