Hull midfielder, Ryan Mason, has had to retire following a head injury he sustained a year ago. Following article just shows the extent of his scar after surgery. He is the father of a young son, so the important thing is not to take risks with his health, but rebuild his life. All best wishes to him. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ason-reveals-shocking-scar-skull-surgery.html
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-League-clubs-paid-134m-injured-players.html Interesting analysis of injuries and cost of injuries in the EPL. Obviously one factor is that injury will cost more at clubs that pay higher wages. West Ham suffers badly from injuries, whereas Saints have the lowest number of days lost to injury in the whole league.
At least if we do go down we’ll still have Saturday 3:00 kick offs. Won’t be many of them left in the PL soon
Probably pretty close to flat versus the previous deal in the end, but there were concerns that the domestic rights would go for less. Given that the overseas rights are expected to skyrocket, that means that the PL will keep getting richer...with or without us.
http://www.sportbible.com/football/...yeing-summer-move-for-victor-wanyama-20180217 Gossip suggesting Liverpool will pursue Wanyama in the summer....obviously just realised they missed one Southampton player. Will take serious money to get a player from Spurs if they want to keep that player.
Posted a couple weeks ago that Liverpool was desperately missing a Wanyama. They're a couple years late in getting the Wanyama, however; even with his injury I cannot imagine that Poch would sell him.
In Liverpool’s defence, Vic hadn’t previously scored at Anfield. Now he has, their scouts have noticed him. We now know their scouts don’t travel as he did score at St Mary’s against them after 30 seconds once, but they must have missed it, or they were mulling over the offer for Steven Caulker during that game.
