My teenage kids wanted a dog, so i got them a puppy. All my time is taken up with feeding and watering it, chasing it around the house stopping it eating all the things it shouldn't, cleaning up it's poo and pee and walking it around the garden.
Just to balance out all the guitarists, I was a bass player until I developed a wicked nickel allergy. Tried all sorts of strings and even gloves and literally yesterday twigged it was also the frets. Played at Reading Festival and all over the country including Fibbers in York about 50 times but the best gig was at Sound Republic on Leicester Square, it was about 15 degrees on stage, never been so comfortable rocking out. The opposite to Fibbers where at 6'4'' I was practically touching the stage lights. I can hold a tune (backing singer) and am decent on drums. Nowadays, I love science, particularly planetary science and astronomy. All things space. I love nature down to the microscopic level and birds (of the avian variety). City. Formula 1. Films and TV, preferably SciFi or horror or both. Also, for fun, I am a social recluse which believe it or not helps with my other occasional hobby, being depressed.

Funny enough I had no interest in history at school. I have found myself more and more interested in history. Also, if I had my time again I'd love to be an architect. Fascinated by building design.
Same. I think schools make a lot of stuff boring when they're actually interesting. Always baffles me that so few people know where things are in the world which seems interesting to me, but I guess it's because literally everyone in the UK just spent their entire school geography lessons learning about meanders, tributaries, confluences and ox-bow lakes. Surely the epitome of "When am I ever going to need that?"
Quite probably. I got genuinely enthused about history when trying to research my great grandad who was killed in WW 2. Also interest in architecture we've just got back from Barcelona and some of the Gaudi buildings - he was streets ahead of his time. Collision of interests.
We had tickets to watch Barcelona v Getafe at the Nou Camp on Sunday. I was sick so the Mrs had to go with the lad. He loved it. Genuinely fabulous City - loads of pick pockets out though down the Ramblas. Park Güell was pretty impressive along with the marina.
We love the marina, when we was there last year there was this bloody massive billionaire's ship tied up... I cannot remember the name but i think it sounded like a middle eastern name. All the staff moving around looked Arabic
That's a beautiful guitar. I learnt to play on a fretless Tanglewood that I borrowed from a local shepherd as well, now I've got a purple Fender Jazz. That I can't touch.
It was the same when we went. Some serious boats in that Marina - reminded me of Hull Aside from Barcelona being one of the best club sides to play for, there's plenty of other things going on in Barcelona for players to want to make that move.
Actually, since there are quite a few instrument players, what make do you play? I've got a left handed sunburst Fender Jaguar. Love it.
Also best to learn on a half decent guitar. The 'action' (that's the distance between the strings and the frets) on cheap guitars can be too high and if it's non adjustable then it's going to be hard work. It can put learners off very quickly.
I have relatives that play in the New York Brass Band. Gives me hope I may be a late developer- or just haven't found the right instrument
