Actually fair play to the Tongan guy in the link above. You have no idea how physically hard cross country skiing is or how competitive. To start racing and in 2 years make the Olympic Games is a real feat. Ive worked cycling, ironman, triathlon and marathons and I've never seen another sport where so many athletes cross the line and cannot stand up or who are breathing so hard their hearts look ready to burst. Tough buggers.
How did the table's legs go up when they went down flatter originally? I suspect this incident isn't real.#pedantalert.
The more worrying thing is that's a one way street in the opposite direction to what Eddie is driving.
Don't discount the Men's 2 man and 4 man bobsleigh teams . Lizzy Arnold if she can get her form back should get a medal .
She's tough ! Ormerod has suffered a series of injuries in her career, snapping her anterior cruciate knee ligament, damaging the meniscus in both knees and fracturing her shoulder, both arms and back. "The injuries don't bother me - I just keep coming back stronger," she told the BBC before the Games.
I've only done casual cross-country skiing, but man...in terms of effort, I'd rather ride a bike up an extreme incline than cross-country ski up a modest slope. Then again, I'd rather do neither, so I generally do neither. That said, what the Winter Olympics desperately needs is an event that parallels the racewalking silliness in the summer games. I demand snowshoe races.
Feel sorry for Elise Christie and all that, but is anyone going to tell us why Choi was disqualified!?
I don’t think anyone knows apart from the ref, and he’s not saying. It’s a strange sport where you can be knocked out of a race illegally and nobody gets sanctioned, and no appeal allowed. The Canadian who knocked Christie out ended up getting promoted to silver!
Is anyone else a little disappointed with the BBC's Coverage ? Nice to see the woman in the ski jump .
I mean I've watched the race about four times now, and I still have no idea what the Korean athlete was meant to have done wrong!
SB Half pipe finals. Wow! I don't care much for Shaun white and The little Japanese dude is incredible. Sorry he didn't get gold but great drama.
