Totally agree and thought this for along time! Whatever our many opinions are re MP2 he and his coaching staff know these players better than any of us. Why they turn in a second half performance like that had little to do with him. They are the ones who cross the white line and EARN their money.

Well Oriol should know, he's probably been the most disappointing player this season. (I still think its Relegrino btw)

Note to self - must purchase Saints apparel to be proper fan :emoticon-0107-sweat

Only kidding, but it did get me thinking the boys ha e lots, but I personally own zero Saints stuff apart from my kit bah which I keep stuff in for shaving and smelling nice in my office at work.

I’d never consider wearing anything either, just a preference, but I do still get to games and never boo either :emoticon-0176-smoke

And I'm advocating playing two strikers. Based on MP to date, that's the equivalent of asking him to throw the kitchen sink, the fridge, the cooker, and the microwave at trying to stay up. It's hardly being meek and reserved.

A trequartista is one of the 150 different names you can give to "guy who is behind the main striker", which was my point. If you call the player in that position a deep-lying forward or support striker, it's a 4-4-2. If you call them a trequartista, it's a 4-2-3-1. Who cares. What matters ultimately is having enough players with some ability to play off one another in the lineup at the same time.

If we're going to play Carrillo up top, that changes our needs for the player behind the striker. That player is going to need to be someone who can score goals, in my opinion, because Carrillo tends to win a lot of balls with his back to goal, but not to anywhere in particular. Thus, Gabbiadini is a not-illogical option, given that he can capitalize on those loose balls and finish, can run on to errant flick-ons, etc.

Never heard that term before Schad. I like it. I also completely agree about Gabb and I had small hopes that he and Carillo would play against *&@!pool. Small hopes, dashed once again.

Hardly a moan Fran, more a questioning of what is going on behind the scenes. I'm finding it hard to believe that there has been no action from above given the increasingly dire situation we are finding ourselves in. And I don't simply mean MP2 out. We haven't really seen or heard anything to indicate that this is being taken seriously by the club, so when I see a picture of them posing for a media opportunity with their scarves on, I'm genuinely fascinated by what could be going on and being said. 'Nothing at all', just doesnt seem to add up or make sense so like you I very much hope it's serious discussions, time is running out.

This is pure hearsay I know, but a guy who sits near me in the Chapel told me yesterday that he met Ralph Krueger at some function or other very recently. On being questioned about the situation we are in, he apparently said with some confidence, "don't worry, we ain't going down".

Apparently, the club have a plan.
    **** knows what it is.

I immediately disbelieve this due to the brevity of the response!

I know it's based on pretty much nothing and you can't tell for sure but it has felt for months like the club have had their heads in the sand regarding the trouble were in.

Sounds like bullshit, he didn't say "relaxed and calm about the moment".

I thought Can was very good against you, he held the middle and allowed us to attack. Wijnaldum had a good second half. AOC was like a dick though.

Katharina does wear a scarf sometimes....copying her father. No one would think anything of it if we were in a good position. Sadly...and we are all the same....when things are bad, everything upsets us.

Gotta say I'm mighty relieved! I'm putting my money on it being a time machine. Only question is do we go back to when we sold all our first team and mp1 left or to when we sold pelle and mane and didn't replace them or when we appointed Puel, or when we fired Puel for doing a pretty decent job or do we go back to when cortese was moved on or maybe we intervene and prevent our owner from passing away and... Anyway, Ralph and his time machine are sure going to be busy making sure we ain't going down. What a weight off my shoulders!
