Drugs violations would likely breach his contract, but if they stopped paying him and terminated it they’d obviously lose the asset value of his fee, and they’d have to do a Mutu on him.

More likely there’s been an understanding reached behind the scenes - assuming there’s a shred of truth in this like.

Livermore came back from the same issue with aplomb, so the lad can sort this out, but he’ll probably have to move.

I'm assuming Salah has been excused tracking back too much, as he's the main outlet for a break.

I wouldn't be too disappointed by yesterday's defeat if I were you. The thing is that your manager bless him thought he could outplay us with a normal passing game. Our main strength (some would say our "only") is the speed of our forwards and how we capitalise on loose balls in the oppostion half. If a team as strong as City can be rolled over by trying to play football against us then other teams have no chance without parking the bus.

Yes, you need to tighten up your defence and cut out the loose passing. But if you play your normal game against most teams you should get a positive result.

well... yes but i think "ego" is also a major part

RA and The city backers are not in it for money. they are all about image and ego. RA entered to bascially have a toy and a place in fashionable london for his mates to play. Its like how big a yacht they have.

City is a pure and utter marketing tool for Mansour. Everything happening there is a reflection on what they do at home. build big shiny and impressive. look at us stuff. It all fits an image but it will never pay back.

LFC was a money scheme that blew up in G&H faces and it is a money scheme for FSG pure and simple totally true.

Yes i agree it is tactical. You cannot run in behind when you are in the right back slot defending.

Its a 433 for a reaosn. RCM should be helping RB.

IMO and i really know nothing about it... I would expect that if there was anything to it the papers would be all over it to report england star drugs cheat.

If the club caught in snorting blow internally on thier own tests and took him out they still can't get away with him form the external testers. The rumours has been there fore nearly a year? surely it had some paper selling merit. When he got left out of CL squad enough eyebrows had to be raised that a stroy could have been run if there was anything to it.

    The thing about it is:

    a) there's been no interviews

    b) no world cup hopes stuff.

That's a vacuum that rumours will start in.

Last news I read was he was having back surgery and out until Feb but it is odd that there are no updates which is the norm when a player is out.

In some ways i enjoyed our second half performance as much as any this season. It was nice to see a disciplined performance allowing us to control the the game . I felt really calm & never thought Saints were going to get back in it and that is a rare feeling with us. Only thing missing was the finishing to make it a rout.
Had the impression JK had strong words with them at HT & they actually listened <yikes>

Klopp does mention Clyne when asked, he's in light training but not team training yet

Yup said right after the game. 2nd half was prob best I’ve seen us play when in the lead. We controlled the game and kept the ball. That midfield actually managed it, especially Milner and Lallana who I thought were very good when they came on at just keeping ball moving and away from saints.

We even managed to create a few good chances chances so it wasn’t even that we didn’t attack. We just kept the ball drew saints into us then picked the off when time was right. It’s exavtly how we should play when we go a couple of goals up and I think having VVD as a calming presence at the back will help.

Just one point in VVD, known as a passer and composed on ball etc but were 2/3 times in 2nd half when he was in full back area and just put his foot through it out of play.

Nothing silly trying to being ball down, trying to cut inside and go back to keeper etc. It’s about knowing when to do those things and we’ve seen Lovren in past miss kick it, or try let it roll out and get tackled etc. It’s little things like that that really make them stand apart. All about the decision making when it matters.

I noticed that and thought the same thing. Sometimes you just have to get rid and give yourselves time to re-group.

    yes.
    totally.

we need error free defending. Get it done, get it done quickly, get it high and wide or out of play.

Taking chances to try play out from back is high risk low reward game.... yes we scored in 7 touches yesterday off gk but playing into a tight corner of pitch and trying a risk pass is not the same thing.

We destroyed city who were trying to do that in about 5 minutes of madness form them. City destroyed Leicester yesterday cos schmichael was trying to be clever.

IMO if you are facing the right way and can play it play it. If you let the ball bounce, let it over your head, turn the wrong way you are just inviting disaster. time and a place always.

Yes but as we keep getting told that was not our doing it was because the opposition were sh@t and played to our strengths.
Hope others play like that :)

Not that I wanted to concede but it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if one had gone in to our calm persona :) (and yours) lmao
