Not that unrealistic. I'm a little more optimistic and think the good Saints might make one further appearance.
Agreed, said on another board earlier that we need a minimum of 7/8 out of that. It doesn't look like we'll sack MP so if we take less and are in the bottom 3 come the end of those and I think we'll go.
Nothing has changed for me. Home to Palace was the one. Limp today, could have at least stuck a couple tackles in early on. Instead we gave them a nice cool down game for their trip to Porto.
There won't be any change before the Stoke match. And after the Stoke match, if we fail to win, it might not matter if we make changes. The only saving grace is that Stoke's likely going to be in a position where it is must-win for them, as well, so they can ill-afford to sit back.
A poor and in some ways a very annoying weekend, but I swore that I wouldn't get truly upset by anything short of a massacre this weekend. The result is not unexpected and we remain only a point or two from getting out of trouble. The next few games are the ones that count and could change the picture. A case of keep the faith for the moment.
I am a little suprised how few people seem to thinks Saints will go down. I am thinking we are in very big trouble and am fearing the worst!! I am suprised the club have not sacked MP
There’s a very real chance. Now we’re in the relegation zone we need to better our rivals, which doesn’t look like happening.
A lot of people are saying that the points needed for survival will be low this year, why? At the moment we are sat in the highest of the relegation places and have basically a point per game, meaning around 38 points will be running it close and that is about par (maybe even slightly high) isn't it? I'd be surprised if 36 points was enough. As I said before I think we will get about 34
OK, but that is about par for a total to stay up isn't it? My main point was there seems to be a lot of people saying it will be low this year when actually virtually all the teams are averaging a point a game or just under/over (except West Brom)
I still say 35 or 36, simply because all the clubs around us have to play several games against each other. If, and only if, we can get 3 wins against the likes of Stoke, Newcastle, Swansea, and West Ham, the fact that we take points off them is as important as gaining them ourselves, and will hopefully be enough. Realistically, those are the most likely games left now for us to get points, although we should beat Bournemouth I’m not pinning my hopes on it.
