And l think that is the most concerning aspect of the game tonight. Liverpool made some adjustments in the second half that shored up their midfield and we had no answer.
Like Gabby occasionally finds out that being a Saints striker, Carrillo will be feeding on scraps with two very large CBs for company. Only Berty and JWP are consistently good crossers of the ball and most of the time it takes so long to get into a decent position to cross that the CBs have our striker in their pocket as we have few threats coming in late into the box
- poor, poor mistake for the first goal whixh was frustrating as we actually played well in the first half. Shows the gulf in quality with regards to finishing though. - Second half was unbelievably poor, almost like a training match really. Tad worrying to see how easily we gave up but they're obviously a far superior side. - Hope Lemina is okay. - I like the look of Carillo, had a tough job today but showed some nice touches. Desperately needs some pace around him and we really ****ed up by not getting another attacker. - important to remember that today was always going to be difficult and almost a free hit. It's the games coming up that will define our season so shouldn't get carried away with the negativity of this result. - Pretty sure Klopp was taking the piss out of us by bringing Lovren on - First time I've heard anti MP songs. - To the ****s in the Northam who felt fit to chant 'murderers' in the second half, you're an embarrassment to the club If you're reading this and was one of those, do the world a favour and go and chuck yourself infront of a flying train
I did not write that; stop attributing sentences to me that l have not written. Or else ignore me. Whatever issue you have: take it elsewhere.
Basically a bit more prolific than the man who signed him. We shouldn't be surprised that he'll probably flatter to deceive given Pellegrino rates him.
If we do go down, it will have been our home form that will have relegated us. No home league wins for 7 games (which is a PL record for us I believe), other struggling teams are managing to pick up occasional wins on their own ground.
I feel alot of sympathy for Carillo: there should not be any great level of expectation on him, as l wrote earlier historically he has a low goal/match ratio and he is now playing in the toughest league in the world.
That was dire. Everything was wrong from the absurd decision to put Bertrand on dead balls early on when JWP was on the pitch (did we concede straight from that crap corner?) Through to bringing on of out of form Davis instead of Gab. 2nd half was a joke we have a manager was is utterly clueless. Their inept defence had the easiest 45mins of their season. Sack him now.
Happy from our point of view with today's result, but myself and the lads I sat with watching it was that Saints are much better than their current league position and status, keep it going boys because the Prem needs football playing clubs.
Cheers mate, but we never managed to play much "football" in the second half today... Plus, you're only worried that we will stop supplying you with players!...
