Greig Laidlaw's penalty kicking was excellent.

France looked knackered second half, lost the plot.

What I like is that you haven’t got objectionable ****s like Sterling and others of his ilk, on £250k + a week throwing themselves on the ground, as if they have been shot, to try and cheat a free kick or penalty.

Also they give 100% and don’t surround the ref every time a decision is given against them.

It is refreshing to watch players, playing the game that they love, without having to resort to dubious tactics to try and con the officials into giving them something that isn’t there.

As much conning is tried on in RU as in football, if not more. There's allsorts goes in in scrums, rucks and mauls where players are trying to win a penalty or nick the ball. It's just that it appears less objectionable in RU because (a) you can't see the half of it, and (b) as you rightly say, players accept the ref's decision.

But they don't feign injury, which is the most objectionable thing in football.

And, to be fair, neither do rugby league players.

Has Tom Williams's mouth 'injury' cleared up yet?

The fact you've had to go back 10 years to find an incident just proves the point.

I don’t doubt that there are things going on in the scrums and rucks Plum. What I am getting at is you don’t see rugby players blatantly throwing themselves on the ground, in open play, like that cheating **** Smalling did yesterday. Admittedly he got booked, but he was still cheating.

There was an article by Neil Moxley in yesterdays Sunday People about divers and what to do about them. Neil suggested a points deduction as fines are doing no good as the clubs in the premier league are awash with money. Banning players doesn’t work either as the clubs just throw on another player out of, what some have, massive squads.

Something drastic needs to be done, in my opinion, if this is to be put a stop to.

It proves the point to be incorrect. They do fake injury.

I really fancy going to a game at Twickers but every time I’ve had a look at going it’s sold out.

Even the Army v Navy game is a mare to get tickets for. I represented the Army at U19 level but that counts for nothing.

That was not done to win a penalty or a free kick, or get someone booked of sent off. It was done to manipulate substitutions. Different to throw yourself down as though you had been shot or clashing your face as you writhe around in agony after someone tapped your shoulder.
It was indeed cheating. For which all involved were punished heavily. A shame football cheats don't get punished as heavily, including the clubs.
