Refs are not fit enough and therefore too slow to keep up with game. I noticed that Mike (bellend) Jones, him of the infamous Burnley game, is still reffing and wears a spare tyre around his gut.. Time for the VAR to be fully implemented to try to cut out the mistakes.
I do feel sorry for refs though, players and managers are admitting that conning each other is part of the game. What chance do refs have when players are going out there to dive? Anyone found diving, automatic three match ban. It would soon end it. Also shoot any commentator who says "There was contact he has the right to go down".
On paper, and with the promise of returning players, there's no reason why every single game left can't yield points. On paper, the squad is good enought to do that. Discounting injuries, it's the unseen off paper factors that have been the problem. Let's only hope these are being overcome to the extent we can get some consistency - on that front, it's a shame the next match is Chelsea away.
"Offside! Offside". Nice to have the ability to slow it down to 1/4 speed and see that Keane was level.
It's still in our own hands. Players coming back always welcome. Boro and then the Blunts after Chelsea game so need to avoid any more injuries and pick up points rather than plaudits.
Funny how some people (including me) were saying how they wouldn't have minded Karanka before NA got the job. Did we dodge a bullet?
Dunno about Karanka but Adkins has been here barely two months and many wanted him out last week. Not taking sides either way or judging people btw, just pointing out how little time managers get these days with some supporters.
Wouldn't have liked Karanka as manager as his name rhymes with ****er and as we all know we already have two of these running the club.
