You’re welcome to stick with anything you’ve dreamed up, but I’m bored of this nonsense, so I’ll just leave you to it. <ok>

I know. It was a rhetorical question. Relatively little of its history. But for some, including Geraghty I believe, Walton Street is its spiritual home and should be for all time.

One thing is clear: the closer folk got, the further apart they became.

I listened to it this morning and have a few sherbet since, but my recollection is:
    • His well meaning words are plausible, unless you've paid attention to the detail (and recognise bollocks when you see it or hear it)
    • He made it clear he might buy players in the summer to improve our league standing (he is confident we will stay up).
    • Sale price of the club is not an issue.
    • Spending money to buy players will increase the price of the club. (But the price isn't an issue <doh>)
    • They know what they are doing and have been successful. :emoticon-0127-lipss
His words are as reliable as those of the politicians. I find it hugely amusing that ITK posters take sides.

A nod's as good as a wink, which you seem to understand, yet choose to ignore.

Although this may seem a good time and a good place for Political discussion.

Stick to the rules of the board. It's for the common good.

Who's discussing politics? Mentioning politicians isn't discussing politics. <doh>

    Not ignoring anything
I said from the start that Allam may have left the meeting thinking he’d been offered the freehold...I just don’t think he was

We shouldn't forget that the minutes from the first Allam/fans meeting back in 2013 record the fact that club was bought using family funds from Egypt as well.
No doubt some of those interest payments on the debt will be winding their way back to those investors.

I did have a theory some time ago that the 'Arab Spring' was the catalyst for wealthy Egyptians to look for somewhere safe to park their cash (if indeed an English football club is considered safe :emoticon-0100-smile). The timing is a bit out but it's possible those 'in the know' as it where had some forewarning that something was brewing. Co-incidentally, the first wave of revolutions started in Tunisia on Dec 17th 2010 which IIRC was the day the club was sold !

That did make me chuckle. It obviously is an issue. They're asking too much for the club because they want all the debt re-paying as part of the valuation !

Also the reason Ehab didn't give a 'current level of debt' figure is probably because he won't know. He also wouldn't know the level of debt in the accounts at June 2017 (which is why he kept on saying to Burnsy to refer to the accounts). He wasn't being arrogant but was in fact on the defensive to hide his complete lack of knowledge of the financial position. In fact, I don't think he knows much the poor lad.
I've come across these sorts of people before. Elevated to lofty positions purely based on their genes. They bluff their way through life.

Assem is still firmly running the club and Ehab is simply carrying out orders. Burnsy might as well have interviewed a plant pot.

I think a plant pot would be far more knowledgeable than the idiot that is Enob Chilts.

Don't you think burns should have been better prepared and have, as much as possible, all the figures to hand. I do.

On another point, not wishing to defend Ehab. But doesn't he have a degree in Engineering? If he does, then he isn't a fool.

By his own admission, Burnsy doesn't have a firm grasp of the financials. All Ehab had to do was bluff for a few minutes knowing Burnsy would
accept what he said and move to another subject.
I've no idea if Ehab has a degree in anything !

Personally I don't think it's good enough when a journalist has the opportunity to grill them and doesn't do his homework.
