Once Saiz is back, Pablo, Saiz and Alioski will be the best AM's in league, again. I know some have a go at Alioski, and I think he put a good shift in running every where, but the service he gets down that wing ain't the best. Alioski does miss Saiz, they play well together, Saiz with Sacko,......errrrm, no. A few times Alioski was on his own on right wing with loads of space, and no one passed it to him. Pablo also has his problems with some of his passes to other players, or passes to him, Saiz has same.......
Agree with you on Henandez, think Saiz can possibly be reigned in but have to disagree completely with you on Vieira. That boy is going to be an exceptional player, sadly not at Leeds with that kind of backing.
Looking at the table, all i have to say is,Thank christ for the early season form as i have justbeen but i have juust been around a mates for an evening of rum & cokes and an evening of poker, god i hope this makes sense,g'night all.
People have a go at alioski for one reason and one reason only he's ****e. Can't tackle ,can't beat a man , bottles out of challenges and is always trying to be too fancy instead of playing simple balls. That tackle yesterday where he got hurt was a good example. He had no intention of going fully committed for that ball hence the silly slide and hey presto he's rolling about again like he's caught his foot in a bear trap. He did the same last week when sol bamba tackled him in front of the south stand. He's a conman and he's pretty ****ing infuriating with it, not the type of player that will get us out of this league. This is from someone who sees him up close week in week out
Have to disagree Nick regarding Alioski, He's a good footballer and has talent, and I agree, he does at times try to be too fancy, but so does Saiz, Roofe, who screws it up, and Ayling when he's pushing too far forward. We've seen Alioski's talent during the first 6 to 8 games of season, and during November / December, the talent is there. Some will disagree, but Pablo (huge talent and experience) Saiz and Alioski think 2 seconds ahead of our other players, which is why we've seen the sync between the 3 of'em, both down the left and right; but how often do you see similar sync between any of'em and other players? You also see the same type of thing with Jansson in defence, although, I also believe Jansson has lost a bit of shine since last season. From time to time we've heard some fans say Pablo should be dropped, he's useless, too old, not good enough, but Pablo is a key part of our team and our Am's, and we saw that against Sheff U after coming on as sub; bet he gets to start in next game. Pablo is at that age where his experience, and talent come to the fore, and in our team, stands out. When we lost Saiz we lost a big chunk out of our AM's, we've seen it, and talked about it. I've mentioned many times, you take any one of those 3 out the team, for whatever reason, and we're weaker up front, and it's shown since Saiz got banned. We all look at players from different angles, and we form our personal opinions based on those angles, but at Leeds we have a problem, the fans. The fans are hungry and thirsty for success, and we do put a lot of expectancy on our team, and individual players, and when things don't go well, like since the first Millwall game, anger and frustration begins to talk, leading to criticism. What we also need to consider is, the likes of Alioski, Saiz and Pablo are going to be got at by opposing defenders, because other teams coaches know they are a danger, and that's a compliment. We all have our own likable and non likable players, and I'm no different.......
Good post LL I'm afraid I just don't see it in him. The difference between him and saiz is saiz wants the ball at all costs. He will fight to get the ball back when he's lost it alioski won't . Running about a lot doesn't mean your involved in the game it just means you look busy. I'm not an Hernandez fan either so if he goes at the end of the season it's no biggie for me. I admit he's playing well at the minute but he just doesn't do it consistent enough for me. I'm a firm believer of using the proper tools to do the job your doing. For me in this league that means a solid/physical 8-9 workhorses with a couple of flair players to compliment the team. Players who need to go for me are Roofe, alioski, Anita, cibiki, grot, Hernandez, cooper, okane, Phillips (not sure) I know this means major investment required but whoever comes and goes the final decision should be up to the coach /manager. It's going to be an interesting summer
If you don’t have a decent keeper it won’t matter who your outfield players are. If we had Man City’s outfield we still wouldn’t get promoted if Fritz was the keeper. That’s another 4 or 4 million investment required.
The poorest players for us yesterday were O’Kane, Phillips so that means our DMs were inefective, Roofe isnt a striker and Alioski who is better on the right. For those who enjoy statistics the top 3 strikers in the division based upon minutes between goals is Vydra, Sharpe & Lassoga
Agree with you that Alioski dives a lot which I find very irritating but you are wrong on the one where he slid in. Defender caught his back leg studs up. Whether that was because Alioski was bottling the tackle is another debate.
