Least memorable City players

Ha. I was in the open end but when the sky opened, I made some sort of retreat eastwards (I think) towards the covered seats.

Been there a few times and I don't think I've even seen us score. One game I was meaning to go to, but didn't as I slept in (literally woke up at about 4pm) we won 2-0.

Last time there was the 0-0 draw - on the cusp of promotion to League 1.

 

I was at the cup game. Dreadful! I was in the stand. It had a plastic tarpaulin roof that sagged and threatened to collapse under the weight of the rainwater. One of the stewards pushed part of it with a stick to try to clear it. The water poured forwards and drenched an unsuspecting policeman in front of it. It was very much like the Eric Morecambe Singing in the rain sketch. Much respect to those who stayed out in the rain. At one point the ref took his time allowing a free kick to be taken and someone behind me shouted, "Come on ref, hurry up. Theo's getting cold!" I've not been there since.

 

Yeah, we got on the night boat to Cairo for a while, Fez wearing and ten thousand Egyptians joining our Facebook page. Elmo, Fahti & Gedo. Why didn't we pick up a young Mo Salah?

 

Steve Malcolm was the third Jamaican on trial with us. Had to Google it as I couldn’t remember his last name.

He died in a car crash which if you remember Theo was involved in.

 

Because the story about him being offered to us is complete bullshit.

Saw him the other week. Right big fat ****. Looked terrible.

How he ever got to be a pro I'll never know.

I don't know if he played for anyone else after leaving us, but I used to see him in the bookies on Greenwood ave not long after he played for us against Liverpool in our 2-3 defeat in the FA cup.

 

Semi pro I think.
He used to play for some **** Sunday league side bout division ten or summat.
He was crap.
Apart from been a Big kid at a young age he had nowt.

Don't think he played for us and can't remember his name , but think he got killed in a car crash that saw Theo injured .

 

I hope Neil isn't reading this thread. He was ****, that's a fact, but I'd hate to be cruel.

Just seen it . The name Steve Malcolm come flooding back . Think Theo missed most of the rest of the season after the crash .
