That they outrageously had ten men still on the pitch is something of a mystery wrapped up in an enigma as Andy Carroll's elbow took all of 6 seconds to spread debutant Marvin Zeegelaar's nose across his face. They had a cople of opportunities but didn't take them. That said Moyes got them running and increasing their work-rate which was statistically the worst in the Prem by the time the ever popular Slaven Bilic was sacked. Fair play to Moyes, he was an unpopular appointment but he has steadied the ship and they do have their moments as Huddersfield found out, but home draws to Bournemouth and Palace, followed by defeat at Brighton last weekend has left them just three points off the drop zone albeit with a superior goal difference to Thug City, sorry Stoke City, and Huddersfield Town. Home defeat will see them further in the mire. Joe Hart's form has been up and down like the proverbial yoyo but it is Adrian between the sticks for the foreseeable future after their exit to Wigan in the FA Cup. Moyes generally plays a 3-4-2-1 or 3-5-1-1 formation with Hernandez the lone striker up front. They do have injury problems with the aforementioned Carroll, Arnatovic, Lanzini, Obiang and Fernandes all likely to be missing on Saturday, though Arnautovic is due for return. On a personal note most of my first cousins support West Ham... a FB comment from one suggested we will not follow up on that performance, whilst another responded: "But Watford must be so full of confidence now and is not their new Brazilian player very good as well. Unless those tight fisted owners at West Ham have spent some money and bought something decent, I'm afraid we will struggle just to get a draw, so I think Watford will do well". The Man in the Middle Graham Scott will take charge of Watford’s visit to London Stadium to take on West Ham on Saturday, in an appointment Hornets fans will hope isn’t a bad omen. Scott last refereed Watford when they collapsed from 2-0 down to lose 3-2 at Goodsion Park in early November. That encounter was the second time Scott has been the man in the middle for a Golden Boys game this term and he was also in charge of the 0-0 draw against Brighton in August. The Seagulls’ visit was notable for little more than Migeul Britos’ shocking knee-high foul on Anthony Knockaert, which earned the defender a straight red card. (Watford Observer) Fez Sez The second biggest pairing of my personal season I usually approach this fixture with trepidation. I will be attending on Saturday, my 17th away-day at West Ham with the one victory coming last season. After Saturday it is difficult not to get over confident. However, West Ham are not on a good run so I will stick my neck out for a 3-1 win for the Hornets. Team NewsPlease comment below Wherever you are in the world - Enjoy the Game! I said I'd do it and it was only responding to the Chelsea thread that I remembered! Especially as I dropped you in it the other week. Having a torrid few weeks at present, not much time to do anything.... even when I do remember!! it was the Comparison thread!
I cannot think that unless the injury situation changes we will have a different team out to the one for the Chelsea game.
Two wins on the bounce would be rocket fuel. A loss and back to normal worrying about the drop service. Glad TD9 is available. Cheers Fez COYH
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...d-of-crucial-premier-league-clash/?ref=twtrec Spot on. Kabasele out for a while with hamstring injury. If Silva does get compensated for his sacking, I hope we deduct the cost of all these flipping injuries from his settlement figure...
Only problem I see with this one is that both sides would take a draw. For us 3 matches without a loss builds confidence. And for them, with the scrum beneath them, a point would certainly put them further away from the drop. Of course they are averaging more than 1.5 goals per match and conceding almost as many. So I guess 2-2. But luckily football doesn't work on normal logic, even if my normal logic was good, and the ref may come into play But I'd take a point. ps Very happy that we'll have very little overlap with the Wales England rugger. Watford England double anyone?
I have read a report that said Deeney had hardly trained this week due to a knock he picked up against Chelsea.
Ankle injury but he trained yesterday. Probably injured it when the ball hit it when missing the open goal in the first half against Chelsea. Didn't put him off scoring the penalty though!
As expected, no changes to Monday's lineup. Karnezis (GK); Mariappa, Prödl, Holebas; Janmaat, Doucouré, Capoue, Zeegelaar; Deulofeu, Deeney (C), Richarlison. Subs | Bachmann (GK), Mukena, Ndong, Pereyra, Lukebakio, Carrillo, Gray.
Good afternoon all, here's looking to repeat of Monday's efforts. Enjoy the game and I will post a link if I get one that works.
Can't find a good stream. crik and ilivestream mucking about for me. Anyone have one would be much appreciated
The stream I am trying to watch, it is a bit stop/start at the moment http://thesportek.com/p/bro.php?id=17826&match=West Ham United vs Watford

Heart in mouth moment there - really thought the ref was going to give a penalty. Great save by Karnezis
