As I keep saying, he was never going to appeal - even if an appeal was successful (which, with the Allams hearing the appeal it wouldn't have been) all that would have been achieved would be that he would be given his job back. Why would he want that? He was never going to play for us and, as he said, it's all about the football He could still sue the club for breach of contract, unless some deal has been done in order for his registration to be released.
i am more pissed off that if he has admitted guilt on this occasion, there arent any other charges which could be labelled to make him pay back a huge chunk of what has already been extorted? (Mutu style) i wonder if Mr Burns BA (Hons) will now be allowed to do his job by the club and tell us all of the gorey details of his Princes Ave (and other adventures). Somehow I doubt it and I am sure he still be in the pocket of his stakeholders
How long before he 's on Saturday AM giving it the big one about just wanting to play football ? He had no choice but to go , the club has played this one very well indeed .I have no doubt that if he had the choice of playing for 20 grand at Ipswich or sitting on his arse for 45 grand here he'd choose the latter. That decision has been made for him. Good riddance.
Just shows how desperate Ipswich Town really are now. I bet he has signed off any right of appeal to get his registration released. Bye Bye Jimmy Bye Bye.Oh yes, one last thing. Just to make this week a perfect one please scodre the winner against TWS. AND Hull City fans thought things were bad here ? lol. You never know just how lucky you are and now JB has gone.
Our season starts NOW. Time to put off field issues behind us and bank 3 points on Saturday. COME ON THE 'ULLTRAS!
The Ipswich fans will love him... temporarily. Fulham fans loved him at first but by the time he played for us against them he was booed. We loved him at first and couldn't imagine why Fulham fans hated him so much.. now we know.. Unfortunately for Ipswich, they'll understand soon. So, how long before he shatters his knee again?
I reckon something like "Jimmy said all along it wasn't about the money, he just wants to play football".
Having been out in Ipswich on a Saturday night (the promotion season when we played them last game) he'll be bored sh1tless there. Football and rivalry aside, genuinley it's one of the worst nightlife's Ive ever experienced. I'd guess he'll be spending his social time in London and we all know where that's going to lead....
It would be well funny if Ipswich got relegated! (unlikely but you never know, they do have Sonko at the back now)
I worked with someone that left for another job and then claimed constructive dismisal. He won. Leaving and/or not appealing is not an admission of anything.
Release of playing registration will perhaps only have been done if he agreed on a waiver for any future action. The club must have had some good **** on Bullard!!!
I wonder if we'll get the usual OWS statement of "we thank him for his efforts whilst at the club and wish him all the best for the future"? :-D
I don't know how it works with complex footballers contracts but in normal jobs people are often asked to sign compromise agreements when they are asked to leave. In return for a bigger pay off they give up their right to challenge the dismissal. We could have done the same with Bullard as we still held his registration. If it is legal we could have asked him to sign to say he gave up his right to challenge the decision in return for releasing his registration.
