Supposed sell out, only the NW and NE corners empty for segregation yet somehow theres 1294 empty seats? I know people that were crying out to go last night but couldnt because it was "sold out", yet the seat next to me was empty again and has been empty for the last 2 seasons! Why don't we sell tickets for the empty seats?? Come on Mr Pearson, SORT IT OUT!
empty seats will probably be season pass holders that can not get to the match for one reason or another therefore seat HASbeen sold but attendance is total number actually attending the match.Hope this answers your question?
Yeah I know people cant always get to the match but really was there that many empty seats? From my seat in the South stand I could see 2. Still doesnt explain why the seat next to me thats been empty all season and all of last season doesnt get sold. How many more are there like this in the ground?
there was 2 empty seats behind me too in the upper west i think there corporate seats? also did anyone else in the upper west notice only half of the refreshment counters were open and staffed by total numptys!!!!
I wish! The service in WSU is always appalling. Combine that with the fact that the bitter is always freezing cold, the pies smell like dog-food, it's a quid for a packet of crisps, and you need to start queueing about ten minutes before the end of the first half to get any chance of seeing the start of the second half, and it's pretty clear that WSU is the home of the despised and deprived, and hardly gracious living!
Adam Pearson said we only wanted to allocate 2,500 tickets to Leeds which is the customary 10% of capacity but the police wouldn't then let any City fans take up the extra space in the North stand. We either had to give them the whole stand or have loads of empty seats so we took the extra ticket revenue. OWS said 3,200 Leeds fans came last night so 800 seats were used as segregation at the either end. 24,604 would have been capacity including the segregation, but if season ticket holders dont turn up there's not a lot the club can do about it!!
Yes I appreciate people don't turn up. What I'm saying is the seat next to me has been empty every home game for the past season and a half. Why is this? Why do the club tell us its a sell out when no-ones sat next to me for 2 years? Surely they know which seats are empty, so why aren't these seats been made available to fans? Why do they tell us its sold out when clearly its not!
The seat next to me is empty 9 times out of 10 but I know for a fact that the kid has bought a pass but works/lives away for a lot of the year! Nothing the club can do about things like this
No but the seats that are constantly empty should be made available. The kid that used to sit next to me moved over to the East stand for the beginning of last season. No-ones sat there since.
I think a lot of the empty seats stem from people getting the odd pass in the premier league because that was all that was left at the time! Since we have got relegated they have not all renewed, hence the issues because a lot of people who want tickets for a specific game this season will more than likely want a pair of tickets, if not more.
Ive got an option for them they could employ me to fill the empty seats for them ill do it for free. Someone let the club know im free to hire for matches as a seat filler
Also with having employed people to sit in some seats maybe they could try get the area around them singing if they are quite around them
If people buy a pass and can't go that is a seat empty, I'm sure it happens a lot, it's certainly happened with mine for one thing or another. Very odd topic as not quite sure what Mr Pearson is to "sort out"?
sorry lads but the economic siuation means itd be cheaper to get fc lardies in as they are able to occupy mor ethan one seat for the amount a city supporter would be paid to fill just one seat.
