Grot off as Sam Dalby comes on in his place They are playing a first-team squad member in Grot but he has arguably been one of the least effective players today. Not the best performance from the first-team forward today. He had one shot in the second half from the edge of the area which went well wide but was largely on the peripheries. This does not bode well for the lad.If he can't make an impression at that level then his time must be up.
In fairness to Grot he was MOM the match before last and scored. Then for some stupid reason he doesnt get a game next match. The team today had a load of strikers rotating and playing in odd positions. This U23 lash up is a bit of a joke as we have at least 7 CBs and the same in centre forwards. Can anyone tell me how these guys are supposed to get an education and game time

Competition for places. If you're good enough you get retained. Why not make the development squad as competitive to get in as we expect from the 1st team? No more passengers that don't come through or those that do are of less quality of the ones before them. Survival of the best, I see no issue with that.

It's ok Eccers, was done more for humour than anything, but did support Elland, even though I didn't know if he'd done anything wrong, or just had enough. Forum will greatly miss him if he left......
Before people run to supermods in future perhaps the potential consequences of their involvement should be considered. The supermods have a thankless task but like all of us they have their own perceptions, failings and inadequacies and sometimes they just get it wrong. This board is the best forum because of our mods and what they bring to the place. Do they get it right every time? No Do they get it right nearly every time? Yes I was the cause of this spat in the eyes of some of you and I would say only this. If I offend you put me on ignore, but if you do that stop throwing bricks my way. I make no apology for posting stuff that causes debate and high emotions, this forum is what it is in my opinion because people show their passion.
Whilst I didn't like the involvement of the supermods on this board hopefully they have cleared the air on certain issues and you can leave your prodding sick in the cupboard for a good while. Or at least refrain from prodding the same person repeatedly over the same issue. Incidentally I found brb's posts lacking in both manners and grace not to mention accusatory. Probably an all round good person with a thankless unpaid task but came across as far too dictatorial for my liking.
