Ha, that reminds me of when England beat Germany 5-1 in Munich in 2001. My son was 9, the next day we bought all the tabloids, some glue and a scrapbook. A simpler time, and not that long ago.
In 1996 we beat United 3-1 (grey shirts) and 6-3 just 6 months later. My boss then was a United fan and I had bought all the sunday papers after the 3-1 win. I did the same for the 6-3 game and that following week my boss was away on holiday. I drove to his office and cut every article from every paper for both games and put them all over his office. They were over picture frames, certificates, in his desk drawers, in random files in filing cabinets... everywhere. He was finding them months later. He was pissed off. Shame.
MP2 talks about learning from the last time we played Liverpool. You know it's just occurred to me that apart from Watford, we have improved or matched the result every single time that we met a team for the second time. Even the Watford home defeat was a decent performance marred by some suicidal defending. It would be nice to think that MP2 is actually adapting to the Premier League and starting to turn things around. That said, I think a lot of the improvement is down to the departure of VVD and a return of fighting spirit in the team. But if we have to blame MP2 for the early season form, we must give some credit for the improvement.
Thanks for the good wishes all - nothing too major, but a collection of things that even as an adult has a way of kicking you square in the nuts! Bugger all that though. COYR!!!
Have to be more creative with insults for Virgil: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...ause_I_don_t_want_to_hear_the_C_word/?ref=rss
How is drawing at Watford not an improvement on being beaten at home by them? I agree though, it does seem to be heading in the right direction.
we will propbably lose this but that does not change the fact that your car is safer in Hampshire than Merseyside
If you look the only game Liverpool have kept a clean sheet is agast Huddersfiefl and Van Greedy **** was not in the team
From today's interview... “There have been a lot of good players from that area. Maybe we should have our scouting department down there.”
See, that's what I wanted to type, yet every bloody time letters appeared on my screen it read; 'Hope you're not relying on Saints to sort your bad week out!' D'OH
You've got a scouting department? I thought the Liverpool board just watched Saints on Match of the Day.
So, what team would people play? I am wondering about a 3-4-3 or a 4-3-3. I think the front three have to be Long, Tadic and Carrillo with Romeu, Lemina and Ward-Prowse or Hojbjerg too.
It's fair enough though, some people find the word very offensive and is it right that we still use that word in modern society? The abuse of players that move clubs has to stop, fans need to grow up, show a better example to the younger generation. This all goes out the window when it comes to Raheem Sterling though the little ****.
