Graeme Atkinson. Fair play, he was the 6th best midfielder in our year in Hull. I could name the five larkers better than him if anyone's interested. Only one of those played professional football and that was a handful of games in the bottom tier. How the **** fat Ako made a living out of football still winds me up.
That’s a bit weird. I thought he was brilliant before he signed for us and I was genuinely excited once we had him, but I don’t think I ever saw him do anything in a City shirt. Ever.
He went to Saltshouse Juniour school. My school played them in the Wild Spaven trophy final(rugby 7’s) which was the competition played as curtain raisers at Craven Park. I should have been MOTM but for reasons beyond reason wasn’t. We battered ‘em.
The thread is subjective, but I'd say (where's) Rob Dewhurst is a pretty memorable figure from the mid Dolan years. The howitzer v Brentford away sticks in the mind.
It's think he scored the winner in a 2-1 away at West Ham. And in response to Carmine's suggestion of Graeme Atkinson, he did score a fantastic goal against Ipswich (I think) when he ran from near halfway to score in front of the South Stand. Fairly memorable at least.
Edeson innit? I remember him coming on v Fulham. Or, did someone like Gavin Gordon/Paul Fewings beat it?
