I think there's a difference between what a player is worth and what a club would actually pay for them. For example we all rate Howson as a quality player but no one is realisticly going to pay more than £1million for him. did Bury not have an inquiry regarding Lees dismissed when they were talking of paying a 6 figure sum last season??? I think he would be worth at least 250k and white the same - hopefully White playing regularly & some international U21s will bring him along as we have all hoped he would progress over the past efw seasons.

Phil I think added up mine came to 16.6million could be wrong n yours came up to 17.9. I think we are all around the 16-20 million mark which really is all Leeds United Football Club is worth. 40 million is well too steep!

Of course this is an agents site and doesn't reflect how some players are over-priced and take triple the money to prize them from their clubs. You'll only get what someone is willing to pay.....

Burnley signed Ings from Bournemouth for £1M.never played above L1. & how much did Connor Wickham leave Ipswich for? Something like £10m+. Absolutely ridiculous money. What I'm saying is that some of our players are worth more than some of you believe they are,& their values are rising.
In this context of how much the squad would be valued at in the event of a takeover, valuing Snodgrass at 8m for example would be way over the top. That's not his actual value, it's just our asking price which is meant to deter bids from your everyday football club and attract them from stupid overspenders. The inflated transfer fees surely distort what a player's actually worth. I'd agree with most people on this thread; the squad's probably worth about 15-18m.
Think we are agreed on the 17m ball park figure then? We know as much as ****ing agents, dont be suckered into thinking because we are not in the inner circle we dont. Football is the ultimate jobs for the boys, generally inhabited by dunderheads and numbskulls. How ****ing hard a job is it to tell someone to kick a ball. They just dont like outsiders coming in, the industry equivalent of East Anglia.
So Connor Wickham is worth more than Snodgrass,Howson,Nunez, Gradel & Clayton put together? Get real.
The squad is worth around £15-20million but for a lot of players the transfer fee they'd go for is a lot less than what we value them. Like Jonny Howson is worth £2-4million to us, but another team wouldn't want to pay over £1million for him.
No Sunderland paid 9 million over his value, Im not saying these players would sell for it, im saying they are worth that they could go for more could go for less!
What is the point in just plucking figures out of thin air? How can you think Howson is only worth 1m and then someone else say no one would pay that for him? Transfer fees are dependant on a player's value to the selling club and buying club. Players that are established in the team are going to attract attention from elsewhere, but the club will want to keep them, so it's a case of being made an offer you can't refuse. Players who are nowhere near the team may be let go for less than their actual value, just to get them off the books. Then you have players like Nunez, who clubs wouldn't be prepared to offer anything like the figure that it would take to make it worth our while to sell him, because he's not established in the team.
According this ball park figure of £17m manure's totally useless new GK is worth more than our entire squad. **** me we are ****ing **** then
