What is this thing going on between Leeds United and Sky TV? Leeds are currently 10th in the Championship and falling away from the play-off places. Another mid-table fade-away awaits it would seem. Yet I just saw on SSN that FIVE of Leeds' next six Championship games are being shown live on Sky Sports. And they've been on Sky God knows how many times this season already. They must have made some kind of deal.
Fleetwood took 16 magnificent fans to Yeovil last night for a EFL Cup game. Their team lost 3-2. Forget the Premier League and £500,000 a week wages, this is what British football is really all about
Sky is based in leeds so when they ask the public what they want, they nip round the corner and do their sampling there. I had wondered this last year and looked into it..
Almost as bad as BBC TV moving to the shyte hole that is Salford and forever trying to push it down our throats that it’s some world renowned iconic Mecca that is all things British. London....Paris.....Rome.....New York.....Salford. Who cares about poxy Salford....I bet 70% of the population hadn’t even heard of it prior to the move and even now it’s likely that the same percentage don’t even know (or care come to that) where it is.
Stephy Mavididi has been short-listed for January's League One Player of the Month! https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5a...fa-league-one-player-of-the-month-for-january He was our best player in at least a couple of games, so good luck to him. Karl Robinson might have had a shout for January Manager of the Month if it wasn't for Blackpool's soggy pitch.
I read an interesting piece about Yaya Sanogo today. Since he left us Arsenal have paid him £5m in wages, yet he has never figured for them.
Apparently he scored his first ever goal at the top level a couple of weeks ago, for some French club.
Great news today that Hartlepool have been saved. HMRC withdrew their winding up order after a £84,000 outstanding bill was paid. One Hartlepool fan chipped in £48,000
If he stays, OK. He can try to finish what he has started this season. If he goes, OK. He is Duchatelet's man and I won't miss him. Ideally I would prefer stability, but circumstances are not ideal.
A very popular man and bloody good at what he does. I bet many of you don’t know he’s not that much taller than Elfie.......around 5’-5” I’d say.
