It depends on who they're being compared with. Hitler and Stalin were politicians from the past, for example.
I can't call Hitler and Stalin politicians. Rabblerousers,most definitely and and killers without remorse.They could go to sleep without a thought to the millions they killed. At the same period,I would call Churchill and FDR politicians,but even they must have had a bit of a killer instinct for what they had to do.....!
Hitler actually built the infrastructure in Germany that has resulted in work for the masses and a continious strong economy. He also encouraged engineering and scientific developement, albeit for war mongering purposes but Germany wouldn't be anywhere near as strong as it is today without him. He was a very good politician in the short and the long term after his death for Germany, it was the bit in the middle that made him a total cnut, killing off the opposition, minorities, committing genocide and invading other countries. It was rather lucky for the free world that another similar cnut, called Stalin, was around at the same time and fell out with him or we would all be speaking german and Spurs would probaly be playing in the Bundesliga.
For some strange reason not one journalist has asked Jacob Rees-Mogg to comment about the statement Britain First issued last week pledging to harass and intimidate anyone who protests against him, nor has Rees-Mogg issued a statement distancing himself from the group in spite their direct links to the Finsbury Park attack and the murder of Jo Cox.
