Newcastle playing Champions League, god i remember that Barca game and Tino looking like a old version of Messi that day lol

Newcastle signing Owen (i know it turned out rubbish) but just the fact is was Michael Owen that seemed to be some statement.

Getting to FA cup finals (again tough to lose) but just the fact of having a great run in a cup our cup runs dont go past January.

Better than all of them though the 5 nill scudding of Man Utd with Albert chipping Schmiceal for the last, how the hell you guys never won the league with some of the teams you had will baffle everybody for thousands of years!!!

The board of the mackems i wouldnt mind.

I think they're in a pretty horrible financial state, for wage bills and stuff, but i do like the fact that they're not shy with the money most of the time. Yes, theres a lot from Bent and Henderson that hasnt been used, but the amount theyve spent over the past few seasons has been high.

Always quite liked Quinn Sewpaa Kev too... Cant think of any other players mind.

In the Match that Shall Not Be Named last season. I really wanted to be able to gloat about an other team's piss-poor performance, but soon that dark day shall be lifted.

Apart from having a better chairman and owner than us; I've never been envious of Sunderland.

I was always slightly envious of Kevin Phillips, although having Shearer eased it a bit.

Even when Newcastle were flying under Keegan I can honestly say that envy of them never entered my head...

I've never really been envious of Sunderland but I have to say that I do admire Niall Quinn. The guy is honest, sincere and has a high degree of integrity.

and we've got Derek, lower than a snake's belly and slimier than a snail's arsehole<wah>

Never envious apart from when Bobby Robson went to them as manager... I thought he gave them an air of class that was so often missing (I mean in the general sense of the word not footballing class - Shearer was a class footballer but never thought he had much class otherwise.)

Not to the extent of someone like Zidane.
