The starter set for them is £5 you only get 4 blades but you do get some shave gel so they are pretty similar. The Cornerstone handle is much nicer though. To be fair the best way to play this is sign up to the starter offer for all of them and then cancel.
probably in the near term yes. those intro offers won't be there that long so signing up each month to a different one and cancelling then seems idea. unless theres TOC to say 6 months or whatever which doesn't seem to be the case
No there are no contract lengths so you can play smart and join them all but Cornerstone is the better offer. To keep me I had the introduction and they then sent me freebies over the next 3 months. I've referred a few people and haven't paid anything more than the £4 introduction over the last 6 months.
Yeah it's got a very nice weight to it, solid metal, well built and looks great. Cheap as as well even buying good quality blades for it. I find it can be a bit more harsh on the skin than standard Gillette stuff but those blades are super ****ing over priced, really ridiculous how much blades cost for the standard mach 3 now which is the one i've got. It's cheapest to buy plastic mach 3 razors when on offer and just pull the blades off to go on the metal one ... as well as a total waste of plastic with the handle and packaging
This is why I did the Cornerstone thing, really impressed with it I don't have to **** about looking for blades anymore.
ponsi scheme? it sounds like an excellent way to save money if the product is decent. In general theres little difference and 90% of the gubbins around shaving are all for show. "lube strip" seriously... a blue strip that is actually only meant to make idiots throw blade away faster "rubber thing below blade" whatever that is supposedly stretching your skin for tighter shave. tenth of a penny addition 4 blodes, 5 blades... whatever. completely unneeded. only effect seems to be less cuts if you are a careless shaver and shave faster. "balls" " contour" ****e.. all designed to be showy. The original gillette mach 3 was good compared to a single blade but imo since then its been a gillette/wilkinson fight to add more blades and be more fancy and charge a fortune. I believe these companies are in BIG trouble now unelss they can radically reduce costs and go into the direct ship market themselves The value you are getting is not form "mass production" but from direct ship fulfilment. These guys cut out the retailers = 100% mark up in effect, cut out the supply chain (distribution centres big warehousing etc etc.) and the profit magin on the big brand (trust me its 80% min) Have you seen anyhting on the stuff you get to indicate where the box actually comes from? EG. Mach 3 right... quick google tells me its 12 quid for a pack of 8. adsa, tesco, boots all the same Right off that prob gillette selling at 6 quid to them. then... take off gross margin and call it 3 quid to make the pack of 8 for gillette... or whatever. it won't be far off. (so call this profit of 3 quid per 8 = 1.5 per 4) take off all the frieght etc etc etc.. 2 quid is the real value to gillette in terms of making the thing? So now apply that logic to your offer. 4 quid to hook you. we all accept thats at a loss for 6 blades Now how many blades per month? 4? I've just shown you that £1 could make gillette 4 of the mach 3 blades. That gives them the wriggle room for say £1 for packaging and postage to get it to you including offers on otherr banded goods you might buy form them. Now.. that gives them a profit of £2 a month on 4 blades off you. SHOCK... gillette would actually make more on a direct ship model if they can make it work for £1 postage and packaging. Plus they have you hooked and loyal and open to more offers for sister brands. Bascially this rant is now over... just showing the difference between big brands in traditional retailers and brands online. When you buy a pack next in tescos... blame tescos for half that price, then blame the brand for another 25% profit.
You might be overthinking this. Initial offer handle and 6 blades £4 6 blades at £14.99 whenever you need them They are German blades and the handle is a lot nicer than your supermarket stuff but just look at it like this and this only and tell me if it's bad. Handle and 6 blades £4
just showing by retail blades are so expensive I actually know about that stuff. On the only this, i have already agreed its very good. Far better in fact than any retail starter kit but again.. retail = super markets usually taking 100% mark up. i would contend that 6 blades at £14.99 is actually very poor thereafter.
I agree, even though they are good quality. Trick is to refer people. Lets just say I wont be paying anything other than the £4 I've already paid for the next 12 months.
which is great and if they all cancel before they pay great. the suckers pay. really the issue is scale. none of these companies supply a million people or 50million people like retail they supply 50k fulfilment is the real key.
Doesn't matter. They were married when he got arrested so she's considered fair game even though she had nothing to do with it. Seems odd to me. She's as much a victim in this as anyone.
My mate sent me the invite to get 8 free craft beers from beer52. . It's 24 a month after that for 8. But you can cancel before first payment. If I pay first month he gets free beers that month and for each person he invited that pays. This months were from Amsterdam...think country changes each month. Much better than razors As nice as the beers were I don't think I'm going to actually pay lol. Convinced my non beer drinking friend to sign up on my invite to get the beers and give them to me! Free beer is good.
