i (and Jasper) thought we should have this thread to discuss the Winter Olympics, which starts tomorrow in Pyeongchang, South Korea. With a windchill factor of -25C, it could be the coldest Olympics ever.

British news: Snowboarder Katie Ormerod broke her wrist in training today, but says she will be fine to compete.

I think after the first couple of days they should take a winter break.

There has been some complaints about time allocations and not enough time to warm up for some sports.

Sport combined with lots of falling over....what more could you want. :)

    Bit like some football teams.

Apart from the norovirus outbreak I don't know an awful lot about these games.

Who should we be looking out for, who is our best chance of medals.

There’s a chap from the midlands called Eddie. Watch him soar.

I used to enjoy watching the tobogganing and skiing but they have gone downhill.

Speed skater Elise Christie said to be our best hope. The target the team has been set is 4.

Mind the jokes, it's a slippery slope from there to Punville, and then we're on thin ice

Katie Ormerod and Billy Mitchell both in the Snowboard Slopestyle are capable of a podium Finish. James Woods in the Freeski Slope can win gold if he gets a good run. Lots of super talented freestyle athletes in Team GB who have honed their skills on good old British plastic. Have spent a bit of time working with a few of them. I'll be egging on the Kiwi's too.

Crazy how much coverage the summer olympics gets over the winter one, I genuinely didn't even know there this was on! Not heard even a mention of it anywhere.

I had heard plenty of mentions of it, mostly because of the unified Korean team, but didn't realise it how close it was to starting.

My personal highlight is always the curling. I like the tactics and precision in that game, and of course we often get medals from it.
