I was just noticing yesterday when we were at the cemetery how quickly it is filling up.
There'll be no room left shortly for burials.
Everyone will have to go to the crem cos there'll be no more land to put folk in.
So in that case, where would you like your ashes scattered?

Bin for all I know or care. I'm getting cremated too. When you're dead you're dead imo so what ever my family do with them is up to them. Probibly fight over them<laugh>

Indeed, I quite agree with you.
That said I'd like mine scattered on the flower bed outside of the New Derby pub.
That way I'd be near my best mate who I love to bits.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. If my family want to go somewhere and have a ceremony or put them in a park they can go visit or some such stuff then they should - I'm the one person it really doesn't affect at all.

Rooch , there's enough scum gets round the Lakes these days without you two adding to it.
Why not settle for one of the Corinthians goalmouths and keep it close to home.:emoticon-0100-smile

Billy this a great topic and one that has been on my mind for some time. I am at the same age as my dad and his dads death, both early at 69 though I have a much different lifestyle. No ***s for 24 yrs and he had a very very high fat diet. Still genetics plays a part in life and death. gone is gone - do NOT waste money cremate me in a cardboard box. Use any money left to use in the pub and to reminisce about What a cantancerous and argumentative **** I was.

So when you go you're taking your missus with you?

Seems a bit harsh on her though mind.

    My 'Final Fantasy' is similar.

I'll be in my nineties and it will be a Saturday afternoon in May.
The TV is on and the Sunderland skipper is hoisting the FA Cup.
The young lady underneath say 'thank you so much, that was wonderful'.

Just lately I've been to too many Funerals.
The 'Humanist' one would be my choice (except that I've left instructions to let the Med School have the carcass to learn on and I have not had the nerve to ask yet if there is anything left to cremate). But all that will be up to the Kids.
I've left instructions for no suit's or shirts and ties. Let the lads be comfortable instead.
The last bit of music to be from 'Paint your wagon, -- On My Way

    As for any ashes.
At the last car park up Glen Affric, take the path for about five miles to near the end of the trees. There's an old Gradma Scots Pine just a bit down on the left. Feed me to her.
If that's not convienient there's a Sycamore in backhouse Park can have the fertiliser.

When she says "thank you that was wonderful" was that because you invited her to watch the game with you....lol?

I ordered the Tibetan book of the dead online the other day.

It's supposed to be good for getting your head around death so I thought I'd give it a read.

I'd like to go being suffocated as any one of Charlie's Angels was sitting on my face.

Knowing my luck I'll choke on feckin Bosley's Jock Strap!!
