That is completely depressing. We did have his thunderbolt free kick against Birmingham(?) but we never saw anything like that at Loftus Road from him that I can recall. Why, why and why?!
Even so, unless you're staying it was a fluke, it was pretty damn good. Personally don't think fluke as he looked up to see where goal and keeper were before shooting. If Zlatan had scored that, MOTD would be all over it.
I would be surprised based on what we saw of him. Then again, did he ever get a consistent run in the team?
Didn't think it was a fluke, it was a good goal. The clip is now banned where I am, but as I recall the opposition defense weren't back defending and the Keeper was caught half way out of his goal. Still, our remaining attackers missed a few not dissimilar chances on breakaways at the end of the Barnsley game. I would have preferred it if we had kept Yeni and sold Washington. Did we get any thing for Yeni?
it does seem strange that when a player has pace and a shot, that he is not tried in different positions. For all we know, we could have managed to find ourselves a Henry. There are lots of time I feel irritated when a player leaves us and goes on to prove he can cut the mustard. Maybe coaches or managers should and encourage and convince players to play in other positions wouldn't be a bad thing..especially when we have to cut the cloth accordingly.
