Been thinking about getting a pair of these but at £110 and with a million and one other things to spend money on I'm not sure if it's good value.

I've never owned a pair of Timberlands, can anyone who has advise whether it's worth the extra money or if I should buy something else for half the price?

I cant say ive ever owned a pair but i think you get what you pay for so i alway prefer to pay the extra money for a designer label.

I used to wear Timberlands and they were worth every penny - wear DMs now and they're also worth every penny - if I had to choose between the 2 I'd choose DMs - but only just

Better value than the super cheap knock off brands, just be sure to add the right protective sprays before you start wearing them

Did they last a good long time? I've had a couple of cheaper pairs of boots where the sole came loose after a year or so, I saw one review for these that said the same thing but I'm guessing it's not usual for Timberlands.

Save your money. It'll be spring soon and you will be getting your flip flops out.

Yeah lasted me ages - never had any problem with the soles on either the Timberland or the DMs- I looked after them mind (unusual for me to look after something that isn't my missus, my kids or a guitar!!) but I was loathed to spend sillly money on shoes then treat them like every other pair I've ever had.

Good footwear is always worth paying for, but price is no guarantee of quality. Scruffs for me.

I'm holding off for a pair of 2nd hand classics from the 90s, they're cheaper and come up all the time, just never in my size. Apart from the for sentimental reasons for wanting them, I don't see the point of casual boots. Sooner get a pair of trainers for cheaper.

Sounds like a lot of votes for and none against other than the price which is fair enough. If I look after them they should last a long time which takes the sting out of that, **** it I'll get them.

Yeah I've got a pair like that too but I wanted something less clunky for when I'm feeling all fancy.
