I think he overachieved last season, and I think a big reason for that was Chelsea not being in Europe. When you've got a squad as good as Chelsea had last year, who can fully focus on the PL, then they are going to be tough to stop. I honestly don't even think he is doing that badly this season when we take the season as a whole, rather than just concentrating on the recent poor games. It was always going to be tough to defend the title with more games to worry about, and I don't think many really expected them too anyways. The board I really don't think have helped him at all, it's quite obvious to me that Chelsea are not going to go punch for punch in the transfer market with the 2 Manchester clubs, I think the level the spending is getting to now, is even to much for Chelsea's owner. Chelsea can't compete with the owners of City, or the revenue Man Utd can generate. When he first bought Chelsea a top player was 15-20m, now they are 100m+. Yeah he's made some mistakes in the transfer market, but as a whole I don't think Conte is doing all that badly taking everything into consideration. I actually think he's a very good coach and manager, who has been backed into a very difficult position. Expectations are high because Chelsea are the English champions, but he hasn't had the squad depth to compete on all fronts, or an owner who is prepared to back him financially. The whole thing with Dzeko was just laughable to be honest, surely length of contract should be done on a player to player basis. To discriminate against someone because they are over 30 is just stupid. Youd have thought after what went on with Lampard going to City and performing so well for them, that Chelsea's board would have learnt their lesson about just assuming a player is past it just because they are over 30.
Buying a player over 30 wasnt the issue for Chelsea, it was that they wouldn't give Dzeko the length of contract that he wanted. Giroud was obviously happy to accept the contract length Chelsea where offering.
I quite like him as a manager. Love the way he celebrates like a fan. And, obviously, I absolutely loved him last night....
Dzeko knocked Chelsea back, that’s it, so you’re talking absolute plums again mate https://talksport.com/football/chel...als-why-he-turned-down-stamford-bridge-switch
If you believe that then you'll believe anything mate. He's hardly going to come out and say publicly that he wanted to leave Roma, but Chelsea didn't offer him enough money over the next 4 years.
For crying out loud, you are both correct. Dzeko turned down the Chelsea move.....because we would only offer an 18 month contract. So yes, he turned us down, and yes it was because we were not prepared to offer a decent contract. Not really sure why you are disagreeing about it.
First time I have really eaten it to be honest. My neighbour made it for me, cos the missus was over her house doing kickboxing or some ****. Quite nice. Not usually a fan of kidney beans though, weird texture.
Chilli con, and spag bog, 2 of the peoples easy tasty food to make. cant really go wrong, but both taste good.
A hunter was knocked unconscious after being struck by a dead goose that had been shot and fell from the sky. Robert Meilhammer, 51, suffered a "severe head injury" after his hunting group fired at a flock of Canadian geese in Easton, Maryland. One goose fell about 90ft to the ground and hit Mr Meilhammer, knocking him out and causing head and facial injuries on Friday, Maryland’s Department of Natural Resources said. When he came round, he was able to say who he was but was "hazy about other details", the department said in a statement.
