    Evandro has to play.

Regarding the appalling pass completion rates. Not the players fault. Sorry to say its down to recent tactics. Lump forward, hit and hope, as quick as possible. Its not working and its dreadful to watch. Frustratingly we have ball players like Toral and Evandro who cant get a start and Irvine on the wing.

In our current state we couldn't beat a one legged man in an arse kicking competition.

the usual incisive comments from the TWTWT team. 10/10 for the use of "cathartine" alone.

Since you've put it as an 'and/or' premise then I'm delusional as I think the players ARE good enough - we have plenty of quality players.. but the rest of it is lacking and so the players are unlikely to carry the weight, Adkins can't and nobody else could motivate them under the smog of the satanic Allam mills..

That's pretty bad for Meyler and Campbell, but for a centre half to be that low is shambolic. It does suggest there was an awful lot of aimless hoofing going on. Normally centre backs have the highest completion rate.

is this Adkins' tactic then, hoofing? the Sheffield United way.. I hate it and when you have quality players at your disposal in midfield such as Larsson, Toral, Evandro, Irvine then you're not making use of that strength.

    I miss James Chester..

It certainly wasn't the tactic at his Southampton side when they went straight through the championship. They played probably the best football I've seen from any team at this level.

To be fair he did inherit a quality side.....

His more recent work at Reading and Sheffield united leaves a lot to be desired.

We can only judge him on his work so far, and I've been to all the away games and I am not impressed. Every time Max Clark got the ball he hoofed it long as did Hector, now you aren't telling me that's not Adkins instructions.

Well if it isn't his instructions then he's being ignored so I aren't defending him. The games I've seen we've played well and I firmly believe we've deserved better results than we've got recently, but ultimately we have to start winning of course.

    Agreed.
It's taken cotterill a lot longer to get brum going. We had to make us hard to beat, which he's done but at the expense of being more attacking. Got to get the balance right.

I like Campbell and was happy to see him return but overall I'm disappointed. He's rated more for tackling back in midfield than his attacking prowess now.

That’s a textbook striker low on confidence desperate to be seen to be doing ‘something’, when he’d be better served sticking to being an attacking threat.

Little screams Hull more than the classic ‘I arent’.

I think we've been playing utter utter hoof ball ****e. The game against Forest where people played in correct positions is probably are best peformance in 10 games. Other than that it's been pure **** home and away.

    But...because...solidity?

Adkins doesn't 'look' as weird as Slutsky did on the touchline apparently which seems to be the sole reason for sacking him as far I can gather.

At one point do you stop deserving more than you are getting and admit what we are doing isn't enough? It's ok for 2 or 3 games to be unlucky , not 11

TBF I think Slutsky should’ve been sacked. I said that all along and haven’t changed my mind. I just don’t think Adkins should’ve been hired.

I quite enjoyed the unpredictability of slutsky. He was a friendly nutter. I pissed myself when the players said they never practiced defending under him, I was like 'no **** Sherlock'. Good times.
