At least he managed to hit part of the goal from there - Milenko Acimovic missed the whole damn thing from that range

Even more insulting when you consider that Acimovic could do this from the halfway line

Well, that and the less than complimentary write-up on his own official club profile.

    So...................................

We have a lot of players coming back from injury so will we use this game as a recuperation exercise?

    Vorm
    Aurier, Toby, Foyth, Rose
    Vic, Winks
    Sissoko, Lamella, Son
    Llorente

Llorente's best game for us was when he partnered Son (excluding the RM game )

Saying that we're playing Lucas Moura might put a few on the gate. It's gonna be ****iing freezing in an empty Wembley.

    Well that's annoying...

It's also worth mentioning that Oakley-Boothe and Shashoua were on the bench for last nights' PL2 game/Adam Lallana assault while Georgiou wasn't in the squad, so there's a chance they might be in the squad for this one

Moura can't play as he wasn't signed before the first game

Completely forgot about that. If they'd said it, I would have gone for it. Maybe give a youth player a chance, if that's alright with Lallana?

I'll go tomorrow and shout myself stupid but it's one that I would probably give a miss if I wasn't completely mental. I was bloody frozen after the United game and that one really got the blood up. Age catching up with me, I guess?

I was at Barnsley. That was eerily silent, except the Barnsley lads. I still lost my voice in the second half.

Hate the fact the NLD is this weekend as I personally would've gone full strength for this otherwise.

    Vorm
    Aurier, Toby, Foyth, Rose
    Wanyama, Winks
    Sissoko, Lamela, Georgiou
    Nando

Gazza, KWP, TOB, Shashoua, Son, Dele, Kane.

Firepower on the bench should they be needed. If we manage to get a nice lead, would be good to give KWP, TOB and Shashoua a run out.

If Winks is ready to start, I'd give him a go.

My concern is that he is too conservative at
times, and that him + Wanyama + Sissoko in
MF is another snailfest like the first game.

    Academy kids :

ok with me but is Pochettino brave enough ??

Completely agree about Winks and it annoys me how safe he is but you'd like to think against a League 2 side he may feel brave enough to venture forward and pass more directly.

That is the responsibility of the coaching staff.
    Specifically, to tell :

    1. Winks that they want a more creative game
    from him

    2. The other CM players that because of 1,
they are going to have to put in a shift.

No, it's just ****ing cold there. It's warmer on the terraces than it is in the corridors though, bizarrely.
Someone at the Man Utd game pointed out to me how exposed the stadium is, which I'd never really considered.

It's sort of thrust out into the elements, isn't it? Hopefully the new ground won't be quite as ****ing frozen.

    Murdered Millwall last season, IIRC.

    You're right.

I was low down in the top tier in 'The Park Lane', so I went up the escalators, which are pretty well enclosed and relatively warm. When I walked out onto the concourse the cold really hit me. I remember thinking how ****ing cold it was up there.

There's virtually no heating and lots of doors, which makes getting out really easy, but means that the whole place is bloody freezing.
I think that the concourses are also a bit of a wind-tunnel, so it's colder on them than it is on the terraces. Ridiculous, really.
Hopefully such design flaws will have been noted and avoided.

“If you look at the starting 11 tomorrow, 90% of the players have started in the Champions League,” said Mauricio, who has a full squad available with the exception of new signing Lucas Moura, who is ineligible for the replay having not been registered before the first tie.

Mauricio confirmed Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose are both in the squad.

He added: “We are going to rotate the starting 11, for sure. We are going to give possibilities to players who have not played regularly in the Premier League.

“We are happy everyone is available to be selected. That’s so important for the next games. We have a very busy period and we need everyone.

“We have a great squad, unlucky that Lucas Moura is not available to play because of the rules, but it’s only him out of the squad.”

Listened to the full pre-match stuff, and not
clear as to whether Pochettino meant ALL of
    Toby/Rose/Winks/Wanyama etc are
    STARTING XI match-fit.
