I know its all paper talk but there are a few worth a punt, some a little far fetched but who knows ;)

Iquinta - Big lad, was a decent player but i think it'll be hard to get him.
Hamdaoui - The lad always looks good on ESPN for Ajax. I know so did Alves lol
Amauri - Another quality but tempermental sod!

Malouda is the big one @5m yes please but again wages and the fact that we are sunderland is a big no no probably. Would fit in at LW.

Know nowt about the first three, so can't comment......

As for Malouda, he's canny so i'd be all for that, although for a long time i harped on about his team-mate, Soloman Kalou, as being ideal.

We'll see a few players moving this week, as to will safc be a part of any activity, can't answer that one.

I fear we wont be getting anyone or even worse the old flo and stewart panic buy! Even though the latter proved value for money in the long run

I'm still confident, or is that deluded, that we will sign one player and it will be a big name.

Here's some of the names id like to see us linked with for the ever elusive left winger..

    Kranjcar...Spurs
    Etherington...Stoke..
    Jarvis......Wolves..
Dempsey...Fulham would be my first choice from the prem
    Kalou......Chelsea.

Ultimately the one id really like to get, but with little hope would be Landon Donovan.

Some decent players, but its probably not a reality that we will get any..

Malouda?? As in Florent?? Bloody hell I think that'd be signing of the summer for us at £5m!!

Apparently there have been 3 confirmed bids from foreign clubs for Papiss Demba Cisse who apparently can score goals
Krancjar would be a great signing (although I do now think a forward is more important than a left winger after recent "problems" scoring goals)

Less than week to go and the transfer window closes on my little girls first birthday - I may be distracted from the festivities!!! (depending on how good the cake is ) :)

I am sorry but 'left wingers' don't win games for you on a regular basis. We are already creating chances by the hatfull, we need to replace Bent with a goalscorer .... Cisse from Frieburg would be a true replacement of the calibre that Bruce and Quinn promised us. With a player like that, Gyan, Sess and Gardner et al would flourish around him. Other clubs would have a fear of them just like when we had Bent and Philips, they know he will score goals on a regular basis.

COME ON SHORT, QUINN AND BRUCE ...... THIS IS WHAT THE CLUB NEEDS AND WHAT YOU PROMISED!!!

If Malouda is available for £5million it is time to smash the wage structure and try, simple as that.

    Haway man fellas be serious!!!

Malouda £5 million i think you all know deep down you would have to treble that offer at least for him.
Hamdaoui is terrible, Spurs didnt want him and the Ajax fans detest him (bit like Daryl Murphy Syndrome)

The rest would do a job though IMO

Iquinta... Like all Italian forwards, slow. Not for me.
Hamdaoui... Honestly don't know enough about him to judge.
    Amauri... Massively hit and miss.

    Doubt Malouda would come.

It's everywhere mate that Chelsea sre going to let him go for a 'knockdown price'.

Bear in mind he's 30+ now, that massively reduces his value, and due to his wage packet (surely 80k a week minimum), Chelsea may have taken this decision in order to move him on quickly.

Second Disco on Iaquinta & Amauri, both good in the air, both slower than a tractor with a missing wheel, and both massively inconsistent and score goals in gluts (or not at all the last season and a half...)

El Hamdoui is rated, but i ain't seen him enough to comment.

For every Van Nistelrroy or Suarez from the Eiridivisie, there is a Tommasson or an Alves..
