we in effect lost 2 points on arsenal and gains one on cheslea... and for the deluded amongst us lost 2 points on utd. no change to spurs.

As we move on now we will start to see the pressure ramp up here.

out of 12 games to go 8 are not what could be called v bottom half sides. (teams dropping down league since we played them caused this)

With respect to bournemouth i expect us to win that

So Utd, Everton and chelsea fall ino the grouping where frankly we score less and concede a LOT of goals.

We concede less goals against the lower half sides and smash in 2 per game. That's a recipe for a good run in IMO.

Looking at it the next 3 games are ones where we can tighten the noose on the other clubs. IF we are bothered.

southampton WDDDLD is their form. only beat west brom.
West ham is a tougher game but their results have been quite mixed and not that impressive either. brighton tonked them last time out.

TBH with only 2 league games now this month and one CL game if we don't win the next two it'll be an issue.

Finally my worry with southampton is the game comes right before CL and as we all know LFC are easily distracted and drop the ball in games like this.

 

Has anyone seen the video of what lallana did to that kid?

If joey barton did it he'd get a 12 match ban.

I believe lallana gets zero punishment for it as well.

Club should at the very least hit him with 2 weeks wages fine.

 

Would 4th and no pots constitute a good season this time round for you lads?

Our season has been a ****ing disaster, and mid table will likely be our return on it, meh. However, scrapping into the Europey was all we achieved last season. I want a pot, any ****ing pot, the League placings are of secondary interest for me next time out.

Typical that we don't play Chelsea until the penultimate game. They'll have picked up form by then and they love to **** us over too.

I think we all want a pot but we needed stability when Klopp arrived. Not sure that's happened with how we play but two consequence seasons gaining CL football certainly helps.

I think it depends how the final games go...

If we only scrape in the top four and go out the CL vs Porto with a limp performance then its not good.

If we finished fith/sixth but somehow won the CL it would be great (Rafaesque).

Ideally, we finish comfortably in the top four, maybe getting second or third and putting up a good showing in the CL

 

Yeah normally he's a total puss but he really went for the old neck break on the kid.

Wasn't even a hard aerially challenge that caused it.

TBH as he gets off scott free from it he should be fined by us.

 

Very cowardly but apparently that kid was having digs all game.
