I am not sure that they will hold on to 2nd but it would be a major surprise if they miss top 4.

Of course they have some tough games but all the teams have them too. Realistically they only need to continue on their current trend of 2 points per match and they will finish on 80-81 points. Which will almost guarantee them 4th at least.

Someone to play next to Matic and allow Pogba to get forward more.

Can't see them missing out on top 4 either.
As it stands I'd go for City, Utd, us and Spurs (not necessarily in that order - apart from City), but there's still a long way to go, and there could be plenty more twists.

    nah no way.

Chelsea players are knackered. Similar to what your manager did a couple of years back. Contes lack of rotation, lack of plan B and lack of being savvey in a 10 man situation.

Firstly Bakayoko should not be starting, he's absolutely shocking (even worse when put next to kante, both are even more boring on the ball than milner and hendo).

Secondly, you can't keep playing 3 at the back.

Thirdly, a team with a striker, Fabregas and Hazard is 3 men down. none of them track back or defend properly (fabregas tries but he might as well not be there). bringing on Fabregas was a dumb suicidal move

Fourthly, Hazard can go past people from deep. When hes up top on his own, the defence and midfield can compress onto him as theres no one running past him. Conte fail.

Anyway, lets hope Conte has learnt his lesson (he hasn't he's been like this all season lol). Defensive football with a real cutting edge counter attack. Now we're just passing it around aimlessly at the back and have 2 carthorses in the middle who can't contribute offensively. Pack the middle and let us go down the wings to cross to hazard seems to be the tactic

Hazard undoubtedly is our best player and what he did today i wish he would do more (take his man and take a pop shot) but he always wants to play a killer pass.

Honestly, everyone's been quite mediocre. I'd say it's between him or Kante, except kante gets the ball back and doesn't know how attack.

Can't blame him or the rest of the team really, i think we've been playing a game every 3 or 4 days since the christmas period up to now and Conte has barely rotated the team even during the cup games.

I think it's time to give some time to Hudson Odoi, Drinkwater and Ampadu as they will at least have some energy and have looked good everytime they have played.

Also no idea why he hasn't played Giroud, he's a decent player who will fit the system. Today we just got pressed up top and lobbing balls to hazard is dumb

Watford's goals were good, but were made to look better by the fact that your defence didn't even bother trying to make a tackle.

    2nd, 3rd, 4th they were already knackered.

heads dropped but the 2nd with Janmaat, Fabregas just let Janmaat stroll through first and that was that. Like i said you can't defend a match with 6 and a half men (giroud and hazard on the half way line)

Seems that Roman isn't putting the same type of money into the team anymore, is he trying to make you more self sufficient?

He hasn't put "the same type of money" in for years, they are self sufficient and have been for a long time.

He's not putting the same sort of money in compared to the other bigboys. The real killer is our transfer policy and i don't know whos fault is that. We're buying all these average players at top prices and to boot they are all coming in not fit and injured (bakayoko, injured rehabbing from serious knee injury, Barkley getting match fit serious injury, drinkwater in with an injury, hell even giroud has only recently come back from an injury).

However i can't absolve conte of any blame, he refuses to rotate or use certain players and last year he had a plan B and made subs early. This year he's been boring and like for like and we seem content just to pass it around aimlessly and hope we convert the 2 or 3 chances we get in a game

Your transfer policy is like ours was for 4-5 years. Mid table Prem players who struggle to step up.

I think Roman's watched the transfer market inflation and decided to stop throwing his money at winning trophies as it's getting to be an expensive toy.
