I'd just like to add that in the concourse before the game there were maybe 20 young lads singing, drinking and having a good laugh as you would expect. Most of the other supporters were just drinking and talking to each other. The lads were generally fine but one young spotty faced plum was shouting 'you boring ****' in any city fan that dared to walk by. Needless to say about 10 minutes before kickoff a steward was speaking to him about something trivial, he'd put his pint somewhere he shouldn't or something, and this lad absolutely **** himself in front of this 70+ year old tiny, friendly steward. Then the lads mam came over to have a word with the steward. When the steward finally turned and walked off, the colour returned to the lads face and he shouted **** you boring ****, get a real job etc. with such ferocity. I couldn't help but laugh and think 'What a ****'. Is this what our 'hard' lads are these days?
He was probably about 20 but looked about 15. He was really abusing other city fans and if anyone, man, woman or child, locked eyes with him he'd **** himself. Was really pathetic.
Steward is the wrong word to be honest. He's probably an old volunteer, he almost needed a Zimmer frame.
Please see my post on page 23/24 where I stated Bruce was our greatest manager ever and why he should get far more credit than he does.....
Just out of interest who else got us to the FA Cup final in our history ? Into Europe ? Got us twice promoted to the Premier League ? Just a thought !
Well he joins a long list of managers (every single one) who hve never won the FA cup with Hull City. European qualification was by default, it wasn't won. A loophole which has now rightly been closed by UEFA.
His challenge on Cazorla was stupid and gave away the free kick at the edge of our box that put Arsenal straight back in the game.
Don't get me wrong here, I do blame Alex for us not lifting the cup. I blame him for going off injured.
I don't see what difference him going off made. Neither goal involved his man. McShane who replaced him didn't **** anything up. But Bruce did stupidly hack down Cazorla from behind and give away the free kick.
