Following in the footsteps of all our great managers. Ancelotti, Jose, Di Matteo. So what do you think is going wrong with Poch?
say he finishes behind this chelsea side and outside the CL spots with no medals (again), do you think you should be replacing him with fat sam?
Too obvious Bobby. This wumming on the PL board really ain't your style mate, just stick to being everyones friend and then acting the wum on the Pool board
I'm on 5 pages already Liebs Seriously though, if he can't even finish past an abject chelsea side and a liverpool side who cant defend (should the unthinkable happen behind arsenal), then do you not think he's seriously underachieving with the talent in his squad?
Even if he managed to finish above them three, there is still the slighty problem off the Manc giants.
well obviously we'll laugh at his lack of trophies (he can still go for CL or FA cup) but i mean if he can't even finish top 4 with that squad....
to be honest, once you put the birds in your thread i ain't beating that. Everyone knows poontang always draws the masses in
no holes really. I like to think of Poch like Ranieri (not the Leicester version). He's great training them up and spotting the right sort. He's got great togetherness about the squad but i'm not sure if he can take the next step up. Good luck to your dreams but its very similary to Wenger 2006- 2013
Ok then let's have a proper chat ffs! Last season we were complaining about Poch not adapting to each game. He seems to have adapted this year. He's definitely still learning...sometimes his substitutions can be baffling so improvement needed there. Our team is great our squad is a bit thin on quality. If we could spend like Manchester and Chelsea we would be right up there this season and last. The Leicester season was their destiny.....nothing was going to stop that...it's odd that the big spenders had an off season but for some reason that gave their fans some oddball logic that said Spurs should have won it...what we did was give it the best shot and we did OK for a team and manager just starting out. The next step up is spending on a quality squad...that's why United crave for Poch...they have the money to throw at anyone...imagine that with the way Poch plays football....won't be happening for them but I see the mouth watering attraction.
i don't think your squad is that bad though. I'd say it's at least as deep as Chelseas and Liverpools (even from last year). Man for man you would expect to have more players from the spurs squad than the Liverpool/Chelsea ones. One of Pochs skills has been keeping them altogether and improving your players. However in terms of how his team perform relative to the rest, i just think this season has been a bit of a disappointment. Obviously if you get top 4 then he'd have done well but that's par for the course really with the players he has. Admittedly for a team who can't spend money like us big spenders, you are better off having a coach like poch who can punch above with player acquisition (like wenger of old). Just my take on Hochy Pochy
